This replaced a Rockwell 20v drill/driver that I really liked. This one works better all the way around. The clutch is far better, smoother with real range. The light is bright enough to really be useful. Plenty of power for most jobs short of using a 1/2 inch plug in drill. I don't think that it would handle a 4 inch hole saw except on low speed but I haven't tested it that hard. The compact form is really nice for getting into tighter spaces and it's not terribly heavy. The batteries last a surprisingly long time, even in cold weather. This is a far better tool than the Rockwell was (no longer available) and worth every penny. ... show more

This thing is incredible !! I have the bigger hammer drill but wanted a compact one to carry for my mobile repair business. It is a true powerhouse and the new powerstack batteries are a game changer. They are super strong and last a long time, but weigh next to nothing. I liked this set so much I bought another for home use and hardly ever use my bigger DeWalt drill any more. I thought this new one would be much weaker than the bigger one but it really isn't. It handles everything I need with ease but is much smaller and easy to get into tight places. The aimable LED light is really nice too and I like that you can switch it to always on and use it as a flashlight. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would not change a thing. I recently both the 10 tool pack of Dewalt tools, upgrading from an older Ryobi kit. There’s a lot of good stuff in there, but the bluetooth speaker is trash, and might be awhile before I use some of the various cutting tools but it was a good value to me. I picked up this drill as well as the big impact driver because I wanted the more compact brushless drill “just because”. I will say, I’m super happy with it, it’s my default when I grab the drill and has had plenty of power. I like the chuck on it a lot as well, makes it easy to really lock down drill bits and prevent them from getting stuck or spinning in the chuck. ... show more

I used this drill to install six ten foot sheetmetal panels on a schoolbus conversion. It has drilled over 2000 holes for rivets. It has worked great powerful, lightweight, durable, and easy on the battery drain. Another fine dewalt tool.
