This tablet looks like a great value. Amazon's Fire tablet prices have pretty much doubled over the last year and a half while offering little for improvements. This makes these generic brand tablets all the more appealing. My 8 year old son has had a couple weeks with this one and it seems to check all the boxes. Battery life seems decent, tablet is responsive and it supports all the apps and games he's interested in. There are a couple small issues that warrant a one star deduction, however. Most significantly, the volume on this device is skewed VERY high. Unless there are in-app volume slider controls, the app volume goes from extremely loud, to loud, to silent/muted using just the buttons on the side. I think I'll have to stuff something into the case's speaker cutouts to muffle the sound or find some sort of app to place further limits on the volume. Speaking of the case, the included stylus is nice, though hard to remove. It has a couple holes in the end that look as if they're meant for a small string, but did not find anything of the sort in the box, so I tried the cable tie that was used to secure the charging cable for shipping and threaded that through the hole. That actually worked pretty well, though not the best for aesthetics. My other initial concern is that the ring stand on the case already feels pretty loose and needs to be positioned carefully to prevent the case from falling. I can't imagine this will improve any in the future. Apart from these negatives, this again is a good value purchase. The issues can largely be mitigated easily, so I can still recommend this product.

I bought this kids tablet for my 5 year old niece and she is loving it. Especially the size. It works great and is easy for her to use. The pen that came with it doesn’t touch the screen well tho but overall it was a good purchase.

Overall it's a really nice tablet but the speakers are really tinny sounding. The case seems durable enough. Designed well for kids. Seems like it has more than enough storage capacity. I just wish I could do something about those tinny sounding speakers. Anyone have ideas? I've already tried third party equalizer or sound apps but they only work for other media such as a music player and not for watching videos or listening to music on YouTube.
