Well I bought this after doing some research. At the time about 7 months ago it had really good reviews. I would have gladly went with a named brand but this had good reviews. It worked great until about a week ago. It froze up. A solid block of ice. Took a day and a heat gun to un-thaw it. I turned it on again for a half hour just to test it and it started to freeze up again. So I looked back on the reviews and I started to see a pattern. Many people complained about the same thing, Works for several months and then starts to freeze up. There are only two main reasons for it to freeze up, one is its air intake or the evap, coil fins are plugged up and no air can flow over them causing them to cool so water freezes, and the other is that the coolant is leaking and its causing the coils to become too cold and freeze the water. So this one is the latter and I have seen that in other posts. This IMO is some kind of quality control issue. I wish there was an alternative to buying Chinese junk. When I buy another one I will give this company a miss. I tried to find the warranty on this and Amazon is very elusive on where to go. I checked the company web site and there is no information on any warranty. Would have to most likely ship it to China and that would be more than this unit is worth. So hope this helps others in not buying this junk.

I bought this and it went bad in a few months. The company sent me a new dehumidifier. Sent the. A few pics of the old one iced up. Customer service is the best I e ever had to dell with. Amazing company.!!!

Great dehumidifier, terrible design. Really hard to remove tank without spilling water as the handle is backwards for removal. All the displays are on the opposite side of the tank so you have to spin the humidifier to remove the tank if it’s up against a wall. As well as it works, can’t say I’d recommend

Poor design, and planned obsolescence are both issues here. From a design perspective, the controls are not intuitive, and the collection tank is in the back, making emptying it a pain and pretty impossible without spilling. As others have mentioned, the back has frozen up around the evaporator coils. Air flow is fine, as is the filter. This is an example of a coolant leak and as dehumidifiers are not meant to be serviced, this means the unit is broken. I have another dehumidifier in the adjacent room that is 6 years old, collects more water, and is still working fine. Should have just bought another one of those instead of this.
