I like this game console because it’s small and I can take with when I go to the doctor. It has so many games on that didn’t expect that would like I’m so happy with it. The graphics are awesome. The only problem is the type in the manual is so tiny I can’t even read with magnifying glass.

First off, 10/10 game selection on the card that comes with it. I’ve bought a handful of these systems and most of them come with a ton of games, but they’re loaded with stuff you’ve never heard of, so it doesn’t really scratch the nostalgia itch. Not the case here. It had loads of my favorites ready to go. Another great aspect is the UI. Super easy to navigate and launch games. Took me a bit to figure out but push the start+select buttons at the same time to restart and choose a new game. Screen is incredibly bright and vibrant with colors. I would prefer wide screen aspect ratio rather than square, but it definitely works well with the older/arcade style games that were originally square. I really only have 2 complaints that kept me from 5 stars: 1. Could use a little extra horsepower. It struggles a bit with DC and 64 games, but surprised me by handling PSX games very smoothly. Every other system other than DC/64 seemed to run very well. 2. Buttons are a bit stiff. They take quite a lot of force to actuate, so it can be a bit tricky in games that require precise timing. But they do feel durable. Very very good little system. If they’d just upgrade to a newer, more powerful chipset, they’d have a complete winner for me.

I have quite a few handheld retro systems, this is by far one my favorites. The build quality is excellent in my opinion, in no way does it feel cheap. The buttons are responsive, not hard to press, and so far I've had no sticking of any of them. The thumb sticks feel great, are very smooth, and the led lights around them add are nice feature not only for aesthetics, but they come in handy when playing in dark as well. The 4 inch screen is rather large for a compact retro system, and the colors of the screen are bright and vibrant. It is packed with emulators and games, having everything from classic PC games to PS1, and DC games. Every game I have tested so far has worked flawlessly. Charging time is good, only taking a few hours to go from just about zero to one hundred percent. I have only had to charge it once, but that was after testing it heavily for the first week. It also comes with a screen protector, while it doesn't fit perfectly, it fits well enough, and to be honest its probably not necessary to even have on there. The charging cable is a standard usb-a to usb-c cable, so if you lose or damage it, you should have no problem finding another one to charge it up with. Overall, I love the R36 Ultra and I would definitely recommend to others who are looking for a well built and smooth running retro handheld system.

The product turns on and works. The problem is charging the device(with the device cord). You have to use the cord it comes with. I was only able to charge the devices twice. Then the charging port went bad, and quit working. The device will work, but the problem is for how long. 2 weeks is not worth 60$.

I can’t stop smiling—this R36Ultra retro handheld has completely blown me away! As a lifelong retro gaming fanatic, I’ve tried my fair share of handheld emulators, but this little beast takes the crown. From the moment I powered it on, I knew I was in for a nostalgia overload. First off, the build quality is fantastic. It feels solid and premium in my hands, not like those cheap plastic knockoffs. The buttons are super responsive with a satisfying click, and the analog sticks are buttery smooth—perfect for platformers, fighters, and even N64 titles. The 3.5-inch IPS screen is an absolute gem. The colors are vibrant, the viewing angles are spot on, and old-school pixel art just pops on this display. But the real magic is under the hood. The R36Ultra handles PS1, N64, Dreamcast, and even some PSP games like a champ! I was playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night one minute, then diving into Mario Kart 64 the next, all without any lag or stuttering. This is a very lightweight and attractive portable gaming system. It has a large almost square screen that maximizes game play area for all game aspect ratios. What I loved was the quick bootup and the main menu showcasing all of the game systems available on the included card. Up to thousands of games for each system right there to easily navigate to and play. All game art is also included making navigation that much easier. I love the lights around the hat controller joysticks as well. Makes it look like a mini gameroom. The rear fire buttons make First player shooter games easy as well as driving or racing games, emulating the gas and brake. It has the built in battery and I haven't even had to charge it yet but it is just a simple matter of plugging it into any USB-C charger. All in all, a great looking and great playing retro gaming system!
