I’d been thinking about purchasing the previous Ortis setup which had 1 vacuum and 2 tool outlets but once I saw this new version with 3 tool outlets I was sold. Had my table saw, router table, and sander hooked up with my hercules dust extractor (think large shop vac sized) when I first received it and it was working exactly as expected. completely eliminating one of the more annoying complaints I had about the hercules extractor being it stayed on for about 10 seconds after tool shutdown, slightly longer than I would have preferred. This Ortis unit allows you to set duration after tool shutdown between 3 seconds, 7 seconds, and 10 seconds - perfect. I have a 1.5hp shop fox dust collector and decided to try it plugged into the Ortis instead of using smaller shop vac size. to my surprise it worked flawlessly. absolutely recommend this to anyone tired of trudging around to turn on vacuums/dust collectors! -Really only con I think of is a pretty short plug length on the Ortis of approx 18” ... show more

Update. Have a 2 star review below. Nobody contacted me at all. No way of reaching anyone. Don’t but this. Just get an Oskool unit. I bought this in October. I only work a couple days a week and this thing is only used for minutes at a time. I doubt it has 24 hours of use on it. Yesterday while doing a batch the auto function stopped working. I went to see warranty information and THERE IS NO WARRANTY. I went to Amazon for support and there is no support. Throwing money away. 2 stars as it worked well when it did but If you need something reliable I’d look elsewhere. I’d someone wants to contact me about this I’d appreciate it. ... show more

90% of the time this unit works as it should but about 10% of the time the vacuum side will not automatically turn on. I have had this result with Bosch, Festool and other sanders.

Does a great job- and REALLY helps me keep the shop clean! I don't know why I waited so long to add dust collection- I should have done it on day 1. I have a simple, 5 gallon bucket setup but it does a great job- IF you turn it on... This makes it easy, since it's automatic. If I had one complaint, it's that the cord is really short- so you HAVE to use an extension cord. Just make sure it's a heavy enough gauge. ... show more

I'm using this vacuum switch with a table saw, a miter saw and a radial arm saw using the 30 AMP 'trigger' setting and the 7-second delay for shutdown. It works perfectly with all three saws to turn on the dust collection system immediately after the saw is activated. The biggest challenge was mounting it to the concrete basement wall since I didn't want to add an extension cord to the system wiring. A 3' power cord would be helpful. ... show more
