One major difference I ran into with this laptop came when I tried to open it up. Compared with glued-shut cases I've had to pry open to get at the internals, the fact this one only has a few phillips screws between me and the hardware was a VERY welcome change. Once I figured out there's a one last screw under a sticker in the middle of the backplate, I had access to the RAM, SSD, fan and battery. I ended up upgrading the SSD to 4 terabytes, because the included 512 gigabyte one wasn't enough for all the apps I plan to use. There also appears to be a second M.2 NVMe port inside, which is a fun bonus, but it's hard to tell if it's a full-size slot. I also noted the included 16 gigs of RAM were in a single chip, so I'll need to get another module to make this laptop run dual-channel RAM and get as much performance out of it as possible. Windows 11 setup was very easy since it came preloaded, and only required turning the laptop on to quickly get into the desktop environment. There's no touch screen, however, so I'm limited to the touchpad. Running CPU-Z confirmed this is rocking the AMD Ryzen 7 Mobile 5700U, and that's enough to get great emulator performance and modest results with modern gaming. Since I'm looking forward to playing Dune Awakening, I ran its benchmark test with low settings and got a max of 30 FPS. There are definitely other desktops and laptops that will get better gaming for the price. But if I had to choose this laptop as my only driver, there's a wide library of games spanning years that this will run circles around.

I needed a laptop that can do school work that wasn’t too heavy and this fit the job. 16gb of ram lets me multi task pretty well and it can run 4k videos and a spread sheet easily. Not really for gaming but the price reflects that too. Screen was much nicer than I originally thought as well. Overall good basic laptop

Computer operating at decent speed. But 16GB memory is convenient for running multiple applications and operating systems. Impressed with the design and embedded camera privacy. The processors on windows machines usually heats up quickly but I haven’t encountered that issue with this laptop so far. The package came in good as well.

Bought for wife for some very basic games. Not FPS or anything action and fast paced, basic. Graphics are TERRIBLE. As soon as game starts everything stops. Graphics take 3 minutes or more to render and anything that's moving, well forget it that's just shadows and block figures. I stopped right there and boxed up for return. This might be OK for home office tasks etc but forget any ability to render anything in any games. As a note I did update all drives and software before hand and this was the result. Because it is a larger purchase refund would only be made to my payment method and not my Amazon account which means waiting much longer for a refund to buy something else. I am HIGHLY disappointed in the product and in the refund policy. Amazon should do better to customers with extensive purchase histories.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very impressive laptop. Its boot up time is incredibly fast, about 5 seconds. I love that it has a 10-key along with full keyboard. For my large hands, the keys are quite comfortable. Also, it has plenty of RAM for streaming and playing games. The hard drive is half a gig of space which is great. It has plenty of powerful USB 3 ports as you can see in the pictures. Bluetooth works well for my external speaker so I can play music for hours on end and not take up my phones battery!!
