The app works great and it is easy to operate. I also like how you can manually pull on the curtains and it will trigger it to open/close. You can set schedules to make them open/close automatically.

I saw a review on here, and it basically said that it’s something you need but didn’t know you needed it. Referring to a garage door. That comment made me purchase this product and i’m here to comment back and say she is so right. I have this set on a timer every morning to help wake me up and get moving. I know sometimes i just want to stay in bed because my room is so dark, but with this, waking up to sunlight rather than an alarm clock is how i prefer to start my day. And by the time i get home from work, they are automatically closed and i don’t have to lift a finger. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Even without the hub, connecting to my phone is easy as cake and never had any issues so far. I will admit the instructions are kind of confusing even following along with the app, but i managed to get it installed correctly. Would recommend !

Still Working well after 2 months with our heavy older curtains and 1” O.D. rods. The drive wheels slipped a little at first during calibration on our smooth stainless steel 1” OD rods, but after adding some masking tape for friction they worked great.

AWESOME curtain openers when you finally get them to work. The good: 1) Whisper drift is absolutely silent. You can’t hear it open at all 2) Seamless integration with Alexa 3) Battery life seems great thus far The FYIs: 1) If you buy the 2-unit solution, it’s for one set of curtains. How mine are set up are I have one inner and one outer, and need to control them independently and only open one side each. The solution was buying 2 of the 1-units. Their automated help bot was no help and I had to figure it out on my own. 2) The shipped me a clearly used unit with the magnet missing. 3) You need to get a Switchbot hub 4) Getting the magnet to pickup was tricky for me- I tried at least 10 times before it finally worked

The media could not be loaded. This is a great product, very convenient, and wife approved! Im an avid smart home user and ive used many devices. This is one of my favorites. Theres a number of ways you can use it. First basic automations. I have the curtains set to open at sunrise and close at sunset allowing sunlight in through the day. This works great for our back windows but in front where theres alot of traffic we dont always wants the curtains open. For this case you can pair in with a Switchbot Remote which opens and closes the curtain with the push of a button, a win with my wife who doesnt like yelling out commands to smart assistants. My preferred use is as in the video where you can give a slight tug on the curtain to open or close it. Overall love this device and plan to buy more in the future.

This is my fourth Switchbot device that I’ve purchased as I try to make my home ‘smarter’. And for anyone looking to automate their curtains, this device is great. The SwitchBot Curtain 3 truly delivers on ease of installation, which is great for me because I’m not the most tech savvy person although I’m trying to change that. The package includes both a quick setup card for immediate use and a comprehensive user manual for those who want detailed guidance. Additionally, the SwitchBot app features both a video installation guide and a pictorial step-by-step guide, giving you multiple resources to choose from based on your learning preference. I appreciated having all these options - the quick setup card got me up and running fast, while the app's visual guides provided extra reassurance during the process. The physical installation was very straightforward with no tools required. The device clips securely onto your curtain rod very easily. Calibrating the device was also easy and fast - the app walked me through each step clearly, making the setup process completely foolproof. Connecting the Curtain 3 to the SwitchBot app was completely hassle-free. The device appeared immediately when I opened the app unlike a lot of other devices I’ve connected in the past (no connection issues or lengthy pairing process). The app recognized the device quickly and walked me through the simple calibration steps without any technical problems. One of the standout features of the Curtain 3 is its quiet operation. The motor runs smoothly without the loud grinding or clicking sounds you might expect from an automated curtain system. It’s not completely silent because there is still a motor, but the noise level is minimal For anyone looking to automate their curtains without dealing with complex setup procedures or disruptive noise, this device delivers exactly what it promises and reinforces why SwitchBot has earned my loyalty as a customer.

In summary, it's a great idea of a product. Works well if setup correctly. I have huge blackouts with some sheer on top and it moves it just nice. The quiet mode is your friend. The only advice I have is ... FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! And also watch the videos. This product is "simple" to setup, but if your rods are the telescoping type and you have metal grommet, you might have an interesting calibration. You also need a hub to connect to Alexa. That kind of bummed me out since i added the skill, and connected the accounts, but somehow still need a hub. I think everything else I've used did not have this setup.
