  • Great value for the money. Love these tablets.
I bought 2 of these, they are great! My fiancé and I both absolutely love them. Great for games! Nice that they come with a cover! Great value for money. Easy to use. Nice size. And the speed is as good as any name brand tablet!

  • A Huge Improvement Over Previous Models – Great for Everyday Use
The overall build of this tablet far surpasses the older models from the same brand that used to be sold at Best Buy—by a long shot. The screen is noticeably clearer, and there’s almost no lag under normal use. The only time I experienced any lag was when running demanding games or RAM-intensive apps. Even when using the RAM Disk trick (which allocates 8GB of internal storage as virtual RAM), performance wasn’t great with newer apps. Many modern apps can detect this method and either refuse to run or operate very slowly, as they struggle with the constant swapping between fast chip-based RAM and much slower internal storage. Things got worse when I added a high-end SD card—one of the best you can get for tablets or SBCs (single-board computers). Because the system merges the storage, most apps and parts of the OS can’t reliably tell the difference between the internal memory and the SD card, leading to slowdowns. Despite this, if you’re not pushing it too hard, the performance remains solid. One of this tablet’s best features is its battery life. Once I figured out that a notification setting was keeping the screen on (even after pressing the power button), battery performance significantly improved. Right now, I’ve been running on a single charge for over 5 days, and the battery is still at around 70%. That’s impressive. The sound is loud and clear, with strong highs and mids—but don’t expect much bass. Honestly, that’s pretty normal for tablets unless you’re using headphones. One important tip: go into the display settings and disable the “wake screen for notifications” option—especially if you use apps like weather or messenger apps that have persistent notifications. Otherwise, the screen will stay on constantly, and your battery will drain rapidly. The display itself is a good size—large enough for comfortable typing and viewing. The brightness sensor does a solid job adjusting the screen quickly, and while it’s not an HDR OLED panel, the colors are decently accurate and consistent for a non-premium display. As for media playback, I was able to play 4K UHD Blu-ray rips smoothly, even though the display is only 1080p. No screen tearing, and 4K60 YouTube videos ran with no noticeable lag or frame drops. For a budget or mid-range tablet, that’s a win. This tablet has quickly become my go-to device when I need to get something done but can’t access my main desktop. I especially appreciated how well it performed during my battery test: with brightness at 100%, Bluetooth and audio enhancements on, I was able to loop through a 3-hour movie 2.5 times on a single charge. That’s excellent endurance. I also like that when you insert an SD card, it defaults to using merged storage. This is much more convenient than the old method, where the SD card was treated as a separate drive. Without a good third-party file manager, the default Android file manager makes it nearly impossible to move files between internal and external storage without jumping through hoops. Bottom line: This tablet is a great everyday device—perfect for casual gaming, media consumption, and productivity on the go. It's the right size: not too bulky, but still big enough to be functional. It’s a major step up from older models and well worth considering for someone who needs a dependable, well-rounded tablet. As a side note this review was done completely on the tablet. ... show more

  • Pretty good value for your money
Good performance for the price. Digiland makes a lot of tablets. This is one of the better value ones I think. It's got a gray metal frame and metal back. Considering the Helio G99 is capable of playing most modern Android games pretty well as well as emulate to the point of GC and even 3DS is pretty wild. In that way you get a good amount of value for this sized tablet, especially when you compare to retro handheld devices in this price range. All in all this is a pretty good device, do note the reflective screen if that's not your thing. The only downsides I've noted are: The mediocre cover which doesn't have magnetic closure and covers the microSD slot, this is pretty standard for most tablets in this price range though. ... show more

  • Impressive tablet. Nice size, easy to set up, and functions well.
This tablet is honestly a very good value, and is much better than I was expecting. It comes with the tablet, charging cable and brick, and even a case which is a huge bonus. Once fully charges, set up was extremely easy. It is an android tablet, and it walks you through set up on the screen. You can transfer information, pictures, etc from another device if you choose to, which is a nice feature. It took me less than 10 minutes to get it all set up and ready to use. As far as function, it is a good quality tablet. I have watched videos, browsed the internet, took pictures, and everything worked without any lag. The speed is comparable to the more expensive tablets we have, which is impressive. The graphics quality isn't bad, but not quite as vivid as more expensive tablets. The sound quality is decent, not quite as crisp as I would like but not a deal breaker either. I also took a few photos to test the camera. The photos are a bit grainy compared to my phone, but are of decent quality, just don't expect super high resolution images. The tablet does have a kids mode, so if using for kids this is a great feature. The case it comes with flips around the tablet, protecting the screen when not in use. It can also be used as a stand. Overall, I am happy with it, and it is perfect as an additional device for myself. The quality and value at the price point is better than expected. ... show more

  • 2025 Android 14 tablet
I have been having so much fun with this tablet. I didn't realize how old my last one was until I started using this one and things move so much faster. I play a lot of games but I also like to watch shows/movies on streaming apps. I've had no issues with lag. I really like the size for watching movies, I took it with me on a recent road trip (just a couple of hours long) and we all enjoyed watching movies to pass the time. I also read ebooks and it works great for that too. ... show more
