What’s in the Box: (1) Multi-purpose Gel Cushion with removable cover. I ordered this gel cushion specifically for my kayak. Although this gel cushion can have a multi-use function. The cushion has s zipper, so you can remove the gel cushion from the cover. The cushion has a generous size, approximately 15” wide x 12 1/2” deep x 1 5/16” high. What I like: The cushion cover can be easily removed for washing. The internal gel cushion has a honeycomb design and can easily be washed with mild detergent and warm water. The box states that you could wash the cover in a washing machine, but in my opinion, I think the machine agitator might be too rough for this cover. The cushion fit very nicely in both of our 8-foot covered kayak and 10-foot open kayak. What I didn’t like: There were No instructions included in the box. But there were some verbiage and suggested pictures of how you could use this cushion in different applications. IE: seat for ice coolers, office chair etc. Also, if the cushion had a strap on either side, you could attach the cushion to the kayak seat frame itself. And this would insure the seat would not slide around on your kayak. If you ever had to try to realign a kayak seat that has slid around, you know it could be frustrating, while you’re out on the water. Overall this Gel Cushion is very comfortable and is a generous size Plus being able to sanitize the gel cushion and cover is very nice feature. I am going to give it my 2 Thumbs-Up.

This kayak seat cushion is really nice. It is made of honeycomb silicone that comes with a cover with a nonslip backing. It is made to not hold water at all so that your seat stays dry all of the time. It is comfortable to sit on, and my only complaint is that it is on the small side, perhaps for a smaller woman or teenagers.

I had lumbar surgery in November so tailbone cushions have become a necessity for me. At home, at work, anytime I am in the car (as a driver or passenger), or really any sort of travel. If I am sitting, I am much happier when I have some sort of extra cushion. I really like that the case can come off of this and I can use it outside while gardening and then just rinse it off. The cover is very thin, I don't know how long it will last, but that's not really an issue for me with this cushion. The size is very good for smaller chairs/seats/benches. For me it is too small for the car as I find I am having to adjust it too often to find that perfect position. I have another cushion that works well for that though. I'm really thrilled with it for home though. The color is vibrant and it is cooling and comfortable to sit on. If you do any outdoor water sports I can absolutely see this being a must buy. Also, if you do any gardening or outdoor work that you may occasionally be sitting for, this is also a must have!

This seat or pad is a little strange in it's feeling and design - when removed from the box it felt like one of those gel balls you get for stress. It has some weight to it so don't expect a "foam" pillow feel, but its very supportive while in use and provides a great amount of cushion despite it's smaller form. The cover helps keep the gel clean and the unit is not bothered by water and dries quickly in the sun. Not sure if it floats as I didn't try that but at the price, replacement wouldn't be that bad if needed.

My current kayak seat is just molded plastic contoured to a bum shape. It's not bad for the first hour, but it starts numbing the cheeks after a while. I saw this and it reminded me of the purple mattress structure. I figured if that structure works for a mattress, it'll work for a seat cushion. It arrived in a black zipper cover, so it looks like the old seat cushions you'd see in your older coworkers chair at the office. The cover fits loosely, so it zips right off and then you've got the cushion you see in the pics. I tested it on some wicker furniture that isn't comfortable for any amount of time. I put the cushion down, and I was able to comfortably sit there for 30 minutes with zero discomfort!! I'm excited to try it on my kayak in a few weeks!! It seems like it'll be a game changer for longer floats.
