Tip… when folding the chair make sure the wheels are laying flat or it doesn’t collapse all the way. I would recommend a latch to hold the chair in the folded position. Amazingly rugged. We took this on a cruise and it did ok on the ship. Carpeting was not the best surface for it, it tended to spin the wheels without moving. Outside the ship, it did well on grass, gravel and the many boardwalks. It was easy to fold and was in fine shape after gate checking at the airport. The battery easily lasted for 8 hours of fairly continuous use. We probably went 3 miles or so one day and still made it back to the ship. It’s very maneuverable with a tight turning radius. I wish I could get an extra battery for it to extend outdoor adventures with my biking friends. ... show more

This chair is one of the best things I've bought on Amazon. My wife has MS and is starting to rely on a wheelchair but due to the disease she does not have a lot of upper body strength. This was a perfect option for. It's light weight, 36 pounds, and is small enough to fit in the trunk of her Volkswagon Beetle. Good chair but when I opened the box there was a broken piece of plastic in the bottom. I discovered that the broken part was the cover over the left rear wheel. I contacted Amazon and they said they could not send me the part but they would refund me if I returned it. Since I am handicapped it is not an easy task to return such a big item so I kept the broken one since it doesn't seem to effect the operation of the chair. Just a hassle!!! ... show more

The only word I can fine is amazing! The speed incredible. The weight is light enough for my 95pd daughter to lift in and out of the car for me. No issues putting on airplanes or ships. Oh! and it can fit through any doorway. It is one of the best and smart purchases I have made. One more thing I purchase 3 weeks ago and it is still charged! I have not had to charge it yet. While the description notes the battery is 24 volt, it doesn't tell you that you need a special adapter to be able to plug the charger cord into a regular wall outlet! That should be clearly explained! It is noisy when being used as power chair. The description also states that when the chair is turned off, it can be pushed manually. It is able to be pushed, but there still is resistance in the wheels. It is not really free wheeling, makes a noise, and is not that easy to push. It doesn't lock when folded which made it difficult to lift into the car trunk. I expected more and don't feel it is good value for the expense. ... show more

Arrived with a UK power cord. I had to buy a US power cord. The controller is not what is pictured in the manual. Folding the unit was difficult until I figured out the front wheels needed to be rotated pointing to the side. Most important if the charging. Difficult to tell anything about the charging. One red light, two yellow lights, and two green lights. Not obvious to the most casual observer. The unit does work. We live in a retirement apartment complex. No need to go outside.
