I'd never purchased a second-hand computer through Amazon before, but after buying this in 2024 (writing the review a year later), I’m happy I did. I had been debating between a brand-new computer and this refurbished 2023 Pro M2 Max, and I’m so glad I saved a thousand dollars by opting for ‘last year’s model.’ The computer arrived looking basically brand new—original box and all—and shipped super fast. The M2 Max chip is an absolute game-changer. It makes this computer blazingly fast—ridiculously fast, actually. Zero complaints so far. Really, you don't need 'this year's model' unless you do full time video work with special effects, probably. I can even run Adobe Premiere Pro on it—one of the most memory-hungry programs out there—and I’m able to render short timelapses (up to six minutes) insanely fast. Each minute of video only takes about a minute of rendering time, which is a massive improvement over my old MacBook Air (which, to be honest, couldn’t even handle Premiere Pro at all). I can practically feel Adobe Premiere bowing to the raw power of this machine. I did buy a protective case and a keyboard cover right away to try to prolong the life of this computer and keep it from getting banged up. The only downside is that it can get a little warm when you really push this computer. I specifically picked a hardshell case with little feet to prop it up and allow for better airflow - definitely helps a lot. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Product is in very bad shape and the keyboard types random characters when entering the password, I had to return it without even canceling my account because it's impossible to type a password to unlock the device. Hope it's not a scam to get personal infos.
