This isn't the absolute brightest light you can get, but at this price you are not going to beat this. Plenty of light for all phases and the panel style has really good light uniformity across a 4x4 space. With that said, this is not going to replace a 1000 watt HPS. You are pulling 500 watts from the wall with this light, and you'll get around half the PAR that a good quality HPS can do; However, you will get the same PAR at the corners as an HPS due to the better uniformity of the panel design, which is becoming standard in LED lights. You also will not have the heat management you would with an HPS. I would call this a very solid starter or budget light. You will get very good results using it. If you're looking to get the same light output as an HPS, be prepared to spend around 3 - 5 times this much but make sure you are running everything that can take advantage of that kind of light (C02, etc...). For me, I have a larger tent with a couple higher end lights and I just didn't want to break the bank to fill out the space. This light was well packaged! Comes with hanging ropes and hardware. Very bright light. Plants respond to it very well. The coverage is better then most of the lights in this price range. Anyone complaining about the price isn’t doing the research or can’t afford it. This is not my first light purchase. By far best light purchase yet. Better then HPS lights for a few reasons. More compact, less electric usage, easy to store when not in use. Gives off some heat but nothing like a HPS light. Easy to set up. Works right with AC Infinity’s controllers perfect. The construction is thick aluminum, light for so much metal. This thing fills up my 4x4 tent perfectly. Uniformly spread allows me to keep these at a 12" distance without leaf tip burns. Detachable driver is a must to keep tent a bit cooler. Works perfect with the Vivosun Growhub E42A controller. The sunrise/sunset time lapse dimming even works. ( Example: At night, the controller will decrease the brightness every minute until it is off) It also works fine with the Niwa Growhub as long as you control brightness from the driver knob. This light allows less maintenance since there are not any hotspots. My yields are a bit higher with same viparspectra wattage / my other tent has 2 p2500s. The internal plant structures are covered with a great deal more light and the tops can get quite a bit closer to the light surface. ... show more

This item is much larger than I anticipated but is very much worth it! The only complaint I have is the driver is a bit heavy and large so the attachment cable seems ify. The light itself feels great and is very bright. I bought 2 of these lights to fit into my 8 ft by 4 ft grow tent and these lights work great. I do recommend using glasses if you have to be around these lights while they are operating. ... show more

The ViparSpectra KS3000 is an amazing fixture for the price! The large footprint of this fixture and high quality Samsung 301H horticultural diodes provide even coverage to every corner of a 3x3. After a lot of shopping, this was the best fixture I could find anywhere near this price range for a 3X3. There are very limited options of fixtures made for for a 3X3 space. If this type of light is in your budget and you need a lighted area for several plant than this is an awesome quality product. I have tried a few other and this one’s build and diodes are for superior. 3 year warranty and diodes are not pushed to maximum to burn out like others. These are Samsung lm301h diodes designed for horticulture and this is a company that is a genuine reseller of Samsung diodes. Super simple to install it only takes just a few minutes. I love that the driver is separate and is super quality too. The driver can be mounted or hung several feet away if you choose to offset heat if that’s a problem for you. The appearance finish is sleek and smooth and is made of aluminum construction to help distribute heat better. I’m not a professional light reviewer but out of the 3 led grow lights I’ve tested this one is far superior. My second choice is mars hydro lighting with Samsung diodes but is slightly more expensive. ... show more
