I love the laptop all my games work just fine, I'm just not sure where to find the 4-year warrantee code I've been trying to contact the seller but I'm sure it was on the little paper that the laptop came in i just want to make sure because if so i have it at home please let me know when you can

I bought this product for a friend under the impression it was a new MSI laptop like the one I have for my gaming needs. The laptop worked wonderfully for exactly for three months and suddenly developed wifi connectivity issues quickly followed by black-screen monitor upon booting up. When we tried getting MSI to honor the supposed warranty to fix these issues we discovered that the computer is actually modified from its standard sale according to its product code and their warranty already broke over a year ago (thus, not new after all). We'll try getting it fixed by some other means but as far as this seller is concerned they're doing sketchy things like claiming these laptops they're selling are 'new' and not modified.     • Bought it for Sims 3 & it works- barely
I wanted a gaming laptop to play Sims 3, Minecraft, and possibly other games. The laptop was relatively easy to set up, but I’m not a tech expert and found some of the process confusing because I didn’t understand much of the jargon. However it was fairly easy in that (with the help of a search engine) I was able to figure out how to set it up without anything going catastrophically wrong. Sims 3 being an older game, I fully expected to have to do some configuration and install some mods to get it working, and that was the case. I was able to get it working after a couple hours of work. I played Sims 3 for a couple of days without any problems. The laptop gets VERY hot, but I expected this based on reviews I read prior, so I had already purchased a cooling pad. The cooling pad keeps the laptop from overheating. After a couple of days, suddenly the Sims 3 would not open through Steam anymore. That is, it would open and run in the background, but immediately minimize so I couldn’t actually see or play the game. I tried many “fixes”without success until I finally just clicked on the Sims 3 icon on the desktop instead of through Steam and it worked. I guess this was a Steam issue at least in part, but there are other issues. I don’t seem to be able to use the keyboard to adjust the volume in game, which is annoying. Why have volume keys on the keyboard if they don’t adjust the volume when I want them to? Also, when I shift click in game it takes me out of the game and brings up a pop up about sticky keys. I select no, but it does the same thing over and over. I don’t even understand what it’s talking about with sticky keys. The mouse pad area is extremely sensitive, to the point I accidentally click on things or even right click on things unintentionally. All this said, it does run the game and the price was great. I haven’t had the courage yet to try another game, like Minecraft, yet. So I don’t know how it does with a newer game, which to be fair is what it’s designed for. If you’re looking for a budget gaming laptop, this is probably a good choice. Just be prepared with a cooling pad and expect that if you’re not a computer expert you’ll probably have to do a fair amount of googling to try to make sense out of all the pop ups and options both during set up and afterwards. ... show more
