Best bang for the buck in the line.
My neighbor Fred is one of those guys who thinks that when he, “negotiates“ a deal to pay full sticker price for a car that he is a really smooth operator. He’s the same kind of twit who pays full retail for the latest and greatest Mac. Because Apple designs all of their own computer processors, operating systems and major applications to be an integrated package, their equipment is basically set up to last 10 to 15 years. Buying a 2022 or ‘23 MBP in 2026 pretty much guarantees that (a) you’re good to go for the next decade and (b) are not getting an unlubricated “Steve Job” at the cash register, which is never worth it for 99% of consumers. The average end user does not need all of the newest bells and whistles (this MB does everything the M5 does, but it takes 3.8 seconds longer to boot up, which hardly justifies the $1700 price difference. Even when gaming there is no discernible difference. It performs everything flawlessly. It is gorgeous, like all Apple products except for LISA. It’s so easy to use that they should call it the Christy Noem model, awesome and flawless on Zoom calls, great HD camera and a battery that has yet to die on me when I’m judicious about charging it after 9 hours of spreadsheeting. This is the perfect option for a budget conscious parent sending their kid off the college. It will last them through a bachelors, a masters and a PhD. at which point their kid can pay full tilt for their own damn computer. ... show more

I’ve had it for one day and I am enjoying it immensely. I agree improvement from my 2015 MacBook Air. Much faster, loading processing, etc. Only four star because I did not receive a MagSafe three charging cable, which is shown in the advertisement.

Came on time, the charger wasn't Apple (but I'm just using my other MacBook Pro charger), laptop was in fantastic condition. Would buy again if I ever need to.
