Just received the laptop today, everything was easy, shipping was fast. definitely good for the price. it isn’t touch screen which is okay because i didn’t expect it to be. FIRST: this is a great basic computer for home use. it is new in box. BUT BE AWARE: this appears to have been purchased at a walmart and resold on amazon. it claims it came with microsoft 365 BUT activation must be within 6 months of original purchase— and that time has passed! YOU WILL NOT GET MICROSOFT OFFICE WITH THIS PURCHASE. im keeping it because i dont care but you might.

As a writer I wanted space for my works to be saved on and this is amazing for it. It fits all of my programs and is really easy to set up. The battery life is amazing so far and the screen is bright and easy to read from (and I love that I can adjust mood as well as brightness). It's thin and compact which is great because I can fit it in my bookbag, no problem. I got two of these; one for my friend. It is a beautiful piece of machinery and is very recommended; the touch or regular. It is worth the money, it shipped to me fast, and the computer was wrapped tight, so no scratches or problems. Now the only issue I have is speed, but because most of it is for my writings that's not a big problem.

I received the laptop and the box was intact and no damage. Then I set up the laptop and used it for approximately 15 days for a couple hours each day. I turned it on around Christmas and all I got was a black screen and a quick flash of light. It would not turn off either. So, I had to ship the laptop back and am waiting credit for the purchase.

I am happy enough with this laptop; it is fine for my needs. However, I had no idea what "Windows 10 S mode" meant. Now that I have used it awhile I am not 100% sure I like the "S mode". It does have it's pros and cons, so read up on Windows 10 S before you buy this computer. You can turn off the S mode and run full version of Windows 10, but there is no going back if you do. I have decided to continue using the S mode, because I am not sure this system meets hardware requirements to run the full version of Windows 10. I'm not at all 'geeky' enough! :)

I just got this today and so far so good. My son had brought me a Chromebook but I really needed one with Windows on it. Got this in the rose gold and it is beautiful! Set up was very easy and it was packaged nicely too. I will write more when I have used it for awhile. It does have windows 10 S. I need to get rid of that to play the games I already have but will let you know how well that works out.

So when I first got this, I was so excited, it was so cute, and light, and pretty, and everything I wanted in a new laptop! I was leaving the next morning for a 10 day road trip and wanted to bring it with me to journal along the way. I opened it up, went to run Windows, signed in, it said it needed to update Windows, in the middle of it, screen went black and I couldn't get it to do anything after that. I called support and they couldn't help me, saying it was a software issue, so I got a hold of Amazon when I got back from my trip and they replaced it and told me to return the first one. Got the second one AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED! This time I called Microsoft support and they walked me through a fix that probably would have solved the first ones issue as well, but that should have been my first red flag!!! Finally got up and running and was back to really wanting to love this, the picture is great, and did I mention it is just so cute? Day to day use I didn't have much trouble, loading speed was eh, but not terrible. UNTIL my son started school. Whenever we are on Zoom, or any video meeting application, everything comes to a screeching halt. Pages take forever to load, video constantly freezes, audio is super choppy, obviously, not going to work. So I figure, I am under my 90 days, right? My bad, I didn't get enough "Computer" some spec or another isn't powerful enough to run Zoom, and video meeting applications. That is what I get for trying to go cheap. So I go to return it, nope, you only have 30 days to return it. It is under warranty though. Contact HP Support, they say it is software again, try to give me a number for a paid support service that will help me with my Zoom issue. NO. This is not a Zoom issue. This is a laptop issue, I have other devices that run Zoom just fine thank you. So then they want me to run a diagnostic test that should have come on my computer. Nope, not there, okay so download it, did that now run as administrator, did that, won't let me open it, you have to run it as administrator, yes, I did that, let me try it again, yep, same error, run it as administrator, YES, I did that, try again, same, then now, I am getting this over and over and over. 1:14 AM Connection lost. Attempting reconnection... 1:14 AM Connecting... 1:14 AM Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly. 1:16 AM Connection lost. Attempting reconnection... 1:16 AM Connecting... 1:16 AM Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly. 1:17 AM Connection lost. Attempting reconnection... Throughout the whole conversation I kept getting that message (I am on a different laptop that does not have the issues), which my internet is fine, I am here, I am on about 10 other websites and am not having any connection issues with them. Just HP Support. So, yeah, I am done. And tomorrow, I am getting ahold of Amazon and raising hell until I get to return it. I am so sad though, I wanted it to be great. It was just so cute... I guess it would be fine if you didn't use video messaging? But don't count on HP Support for help with ANYTHING! Honestly I don't think I will ever buy another HP product, I have an HP printer that I have had issues with since I got it too, and I JUST this week got another HP laptop from work, brand new, and the battery doesn't even last 5 hours... So just sayin. Good luck!
