I barely had time to set this computer up and open a web browser before it had issues. I have had this computer for a total of 4 hours and I've used it for Maybe 1 of those hours. The rest of the time was spent trying to find out why it wouldn't connect to the internet. I had to do the research on my phone because the laptop itself was, as previously stated, not staying connected to the internet. Also, the computer would periodically show a blue screen error and restart. It did this the first time after I did nothing more than open up Google Chrome and try to check an email. I want to stress that I did not tamper with this computer in any way. I did not open up any advanced settings or make any changes. I selected the troubleshoot option, and would get the blue screen error, and this was immediately after just starting the computer up for the first time and going through the usual startup procedure like selecting my time zone, etc. Which is another thing. The time zone was set to Eastern Standard Time, which is accurate for my location, however I started up the computer at around 1:45 PM and the computer was convinced that it was both on Eastern Standard Time AND that it was 4:40 PM. There was nothing I could do to make the time synch properly, even during the fleeting moments when the computer was connected to the internet.     • Seemed great but lost audio
Seemed really nice at first but was less user friendly than my cheap chrome book and then audio completely stopped working after a couple weeks. I ran scans, googled everything I could to fix it, checked all sound settings, updated drivers etc to no avail so I need to return it.

The laptop is light. TIme will tell whether it stands up. Dell is not a company that I would ordinarily have purchased form, but the specifications and price point met my requirements. Dell's manufacturer website is convaluted and their support service is laughable. Although the model that I bought was designated new with no other descriptors, it was actually refurbished. The seller "upgrades" factory new Dell laptops, registers the laptop to the company, and sells it on as if it is new. That is fraud. Amazon allows this and thinks nothinig of the time and inconvenience this causes - when your work depends on having a computer. A return and refund do not compensate me for the time that I am not able to work. Be ware. Message the seller (if identified) before sale directly. The actual seller was identified after sale. Laptop consistently crashes after extended periods of reasonably use (less than 7 hours of use, using only browsers and zoom apps). Does not come with charging cord. Amazon should do more to verify that this seller is selling a product that is as advertised. Not sure how a new 2021 model fails to function for equivalent of the duration of a work day. ... show more

    • It's Fast, But It Has Issues, Especially If You're Doing Audio Work

I've had this particular computer since spring. It is fast, and most tasks it does fine with. But I do have a couple of issues with it. One being the bluetooth connection with the printer; you never know if it will work or not. It's not the printer. It works fine with my wife's computer, as well as our phones. It's aggravating since I really don't have a good way to hook them up with a cable since the printer is in another room. Also, the computer has this frustrating habit of continually resetting itself to mono or 1 channel when using a USB audio connection for recording. I digitize alot of records and I have to watch it closely, otherwise, I'm stuck with a bunch of mono tracks from stereo records. Never had that issue with my old Toshiba. ... show more

Computer did not work properly from beginning. Followed PConline365 instructions to delete and reinstall operating system. Worked Ok less that a day before going back to not connecting to links. Sent Computer back to PConline365 who was to have fixed it. Returned it to me. I followed instructions and updated Windows. worked 1 day and then was back to not connecting to links. With the 16 gigs of ram this laptop is fast. And the 1 TB Hard Drive is great too. Plenty of storage. You'll need an external CD/DVD Rom drive if you want to burn disks though, either CD's or DVD's.
