Features

  • THE WORLDS FIRST WALL MOUNTED CNC MACHINE KIT: its upright design provides a huge cutting space - up to 32sq ft - on a tiny footprint. By eliminating the heavy and expensive components of traditional CNC milling machines, the M2 becomes a purpose-built, making machine without all the added fuss. It cuts sheets of nearly any material such as wood, metals, plastic and foam, so that you can craft anything you like. Projects made with our M2 include benches, signs, lamps, tables, and even a guitar!
  • FULL KIT: M2 is a 3-Axis wall-mounted CNC cutting machine and comes with laser-cut, steel and powder coated mounting brackets, lead screw z-axis, built-in dust collection port, three 18 router bits that offer extremely precise cuts. The router is not included. Compatible routers include: DeWalt611, Bosch Colt, Makita RT0700CX and EU equivalents to each of the above.
  • OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE: The M2 is designed to be used with Makerverse open-source software which is included with your purchase. Makerverse is a GRBL CNC control application that has custom controls made specifically for all Maker Made products: the Maslow, M2 and 300x. The application is derived from the open source CNCjs project and will continue to receive new features and updates from the Maker Made team.
  • PRECISION: Maker Made M2 has a highly accurate cutting with a variance of just 1mm. Every piece is purpose-built for accurate, consistent cutting performance. The M2 cuts up to 40% faster than Maslow CNC, its motor is cooler and more efficient, the router bit is smaller for better accuracy.
  • TRIED AND TESTED PARTS MADE TO LAST: Designed and developed in the USA, nearly every major component of the M2 is custom built for this purpose. We are fully committed to the customer and the maker community above all else. If it doesnt work for you, it doesnt work for us. If you ever have any issues with your purchase, let us know, and well make it right.

  • Great product Great product
Style: 2021
Here's the deal if you have experience with cnc or have a basic understanding of what needs to happen this is an awesome item. If you don't you need to go slow watch videos on what this is, how to build it and do your due diligence on set up and expectations. The m2 will work but you have to do everything correctly from your stand to calibration. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Do not buy!! Spend tMaslow. Parts break. Falls out of program and doesn't accept

After months of dealing with this. And endless. critical part replacement I still have yet to make one project without issue or equipment failure.

  • Great hobbyist CNC if you have the patience
Style: 2021
M2 (2021 version) This is not a plug and play system, for best results it takes lots of time to calibrate for best results. Be sure to research this CNC and understand the caveats in operating this system over a table top CNC. There is quite a bit of DIY work needed to set up the frame, get acquainted with the software, and calibrate the sled. If you have the patience to build and operate the M2 it is really enjoyable to use and does a great job with accurate cuts. If you are interested in cutting the entirety of a 4'x8' sheet of material be sure to order the longer chains (not included) and build the XL frame, plans for which can be found on Makermade's website. Without this the edge cuts will be inaccurate. It would be nice if the 15' chains were included given the price, but when compared with the prices of other CNCs that can cut a full sheet of plywood the M2 is a great product. UPDATE: writing an update after building some large pieces with the 15ft chain upgrade. Unfortunately I feel the need to lower my review, as my machine cannot reliably cut the full 4x8 workspace. After upgrading the the 15ft chains I have encountered numerous issues with chain slack causing the sled to bounce and fail to create straight cuts. This occurred with the maximum weight that the motors could handle on the sled. On two occasions the chains have separated from the motors and caused the sled to come crashing down to the floor. This has resulted in two destroyed chains, as chain links were twisted almost 90 degrees, and damage to the sled ring. This is still a fun tool, and great for hobbyists as long as you understand the systems limitations and stay within them. ... show more

  • Great for non-precision work
Style: 2021
Once you build the frame and get things calibrated, it works very well...but for key interlock features and the like, i would recommend doing things by hand using a template as the precision on this machine is not good enough to hold the needed tolerances for such features. Other than this hiccup, this is a great machine. ... show more

  • Makermade is a terrible company. Terrible support. And poor conduct.
Style: 2021
While I understand MakerMade’s limitations in offering support for custom setups, this does not justify silencing my account in the Facebook group—a resource meant for collaboration among users. Community members have already helped me resolve issues where direct support fell short, and barring me from accessing this community is both petty and counterproductive. Disabling my account sends the message that MakerMade is more interested in silencing feedback than engaging constructively with customers. I’ve been working with this system since before MakerMade entered the picture, and your handling of this situation is both disappointing and unprofessional. I’m requesting that my account be reinstated so I can continue participating in the group and working collaboratively with other users. I hope this situation is reconsidered, as actions like these reflect poorly on MakerMade’s reputation and values. Thank you ... show more

  • Skill Set Matters
Style: 2021
First and more important you need a fair amount of experience with CAD software. You will also have to flash your microprocessor a few times with updates and no real guidance. Once assembled you can't cut anything without creating files in some type of CAD software. You have to add the bit up commands to keep from cutting between pieces. You have to understand how to translate your idea to the file you will export to GCODE. No one talks about the creation part just about how great the product is. I had mine for two years just worked on it once in a while. Everytime I tried to cut I got some type of error and then found in the forum "oh that a known issue" change this in your software. I got tired to fixing the file and took everything apart. Its in a plastic bin... I bought a real CNC machine yea it cost more but can cut what I want from design to finished part in a coupld of hours. You get what you pay for. ... show more
