  • happy with my laptop :) read for some help taking it out of S-Mode and more
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
some of the lesser reviews made me worried, but i really needed a new laptop for college like... PRONTO and this had next-day shipping, so i trusted it. i'm happy i did. i love my little laptop so far. my favorite thing about it that my other laptop didnt have is the battery life lasts FOREVER-super important for work, college, life in general. the first time i charged it up (like with many laptops, it is a good idea to charge it for a nice long time before you boot it up) i think it lasted two whole days! to be fair, i was pretty busy with moving some stuff into my dorm, but i was impressed none of the battery life diminished. it continues to work wonders. yes, you can take it out of S-Mode- i would recommend doing this prior to doing schoolwork, attending business, etc because it could take a moment. make sure you look up 'windows updates' in the search bar and get ALL the updates you need because it will give you an error if you aren't updated. this will take a while so be patient and be prepared for it to restart once or twice for the updates to go. then you just search up 'switch out of s mode' in the same search bar and there you go. i saw someone complaining that it's slow out of S mode? but that hasn't been the case for me at all. it's nice, quick, reliable. i also saw another reviewer complain that it wasn't touch screen... well.... it's clearly labelled 'No-Touch' so... don't know what they were expecting lol for the touchpad, to right click, hold two fingertips down and it will right click, instead of just pressing right (like my old one). if you don't like touchpads like this a mouse may be a good option but for me, i like it and its convenient, pretty sensitive. the only drawback, which for me isn't a huge deal, is the webcam doesn't have much color and its a bit fuzzy. it will still display you and capture you on webcam but prepare for the picture to be desaturated. for me this is not a big deal at all as i don't need to use the webcam that much. like all things in life, it will be a judgment call on your behalf- what do you need in a laptop? are you looking for a high power gaming computer with a crystal clear webcam? well, this isn't for you. if you're a college student like me or someone who just needs a nice, reliable, lightweight laptop good for notes, schoolwork, and portability, i would highly recommend. :) also- the rose gold doesn't hurt. it's cute. :) P.S. i currently have about.... 20 tabs open on Chrome right now including this one and i haven't noticed any slowness at all. P.P.S. i will update this review if my satisfaction changes or the quality degrades ... show more

  • Excellent laptop for the price
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
This lightweight, easy to use laptop is perfect for an entry-level laptop for anyone. The keyboard feels a little cheap when typing but at this price point that's probably to be expected. The touchpad is adequately sensitive and doesn't too often interfere with typing. I've been happy with my HP laptops so far, this one included, but I would consider them a 2nd place finisher behind my Lenovos I've owned. But at the price point, this HP laptop (in pretty metallic pink too!) is totally worth it. It features windows, Preinstalled, ready to set up and use. The built-in webcam works well enough for Zoom and Google Meet calls and the sound isn't bad either, though Bluetooth headphones are better. This laptop is a perfect first laptop for high school or college students or for seniors IMO because the setup is easy, the computer walks you through everything on opening out of the box. And it has all of the capabilities a college student would need or want (Unless that college student were in video editing or movie making courses or needed advanced software that ate up a lot of RAM or hard drive).... A senior will be more than satisfied. Highly recommend (unless Lenovo is having a sale, that is haha) ... show more

  • Perfect school laptop
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
This laptop is being used for online college courses. So I needed something that is light, durable and bright visually! This laptop is all I needed and I got mine refurbished!! Saved some money! The only complaint I have is the battery life. Once it’s dead it’s D E A D. Like you need to charge it for it to turn on fully- doesn’t even show you a battery charging symbol. ... show more

  • How to turn it on
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
Hey guys so I just got my laptop and I thought something was wrong with it because it wouldn’t turn it on but it turns out that I was holding the power button when you’re only supposed to press it once so if anybody went through it not turning on that’s why lol

  • DO NOT BUY
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
I have had this laptop for less than 2 years. I have used this laptop less then 30 times. I use my work laptop for 98% of my computer tasks and only got this to be able to log in to my Canvas school page and do work. I have never downloaded a single extra program to this laptop outside of basic Word and Excel. That’s it. In less than 2 years it is running extremely slow so I took it in to a computer repair place and they told me it ran slow because the processor was very basic and was using almost 70% of its usage just to run Windows. Nothing else. I was told this laptop was AT MOST worth $100 and that was pushing it. Biggest mistake buying this $400 paperweight. Please do not waste your money on this. ... show more

  • Pretty Good if your looking for a basic laptop
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
Just got this laptop and it works pretty good considering the price. There’s no touchscreen and the speakers are pretty quiet. Also this thing heats up quite a bit even during regular use. You’ll also need to get this thing out of S mode which is easy enough to do. But all and all it’s a solid little laptop. Though it should be taken into consideration the most I use my laptop for is YouTube, Google Docs, and Spotify, so I’m likely not putting too much strain on it. If you need to do anything more you might need to look elsewhere ... show more

  • kinda sucks honestly
Capacity: 4GB RAM | 64GB SSD
It's really cute but honestly it's a pretty slow laptop and the Windows 10 automatically comes with S Mode installed. Which in essence means you can't download any apps or use any extensions if it doesn't come from Windows. If I had known these things before buying, I doubt I would've bought it. I'm the kind of person where I have multiple tabs opened at the same time and I do multiple things, but as soon as you try to do that it starts lagging and you can't do what you really wanna do. It's very frustrating. And Windows has made it impossible to uninstall S Mode, so you're just stuck with it whether you want it or not. I can't download Adoble Flash Player which means I can't play any games, I can't even download Google Chrome it sucks. The default search engine for this laptop is Bing by the way. ... show more
