Dont waste your time on this computer. Waste of money .. montior turns off, while computer is on .. I dont want to replace the monior becasue thats extra $50-$200 dollor if I have to do it myself .. and cant send it in for repair either if I cant log into the computer

Pros: - looks nice - soft to touch - great screen - powerful hardware Cons - powerful hardware means nothing because it is not configured properly: I am getting Blue Screen of Death almost every time I try to play some game OR when laptop goes to a Sleep mode. BSoD can also happen after heavy calculations (I am a software engineer) - laptop gets very hot when playing games Fortunately I can perform most of my work tasks, like running IDE, running Docker & Kubernetes. This is the only reason the laptop is not in the bin place. I am thinking about replacing RAM memory in hope this may resolve BSoD issues. This is final conclusion, it's the worst buying experience in my life, I'm 70 now and retired as a computer engineer. 2022 (update) Changed mother Board, later found out GPU issue (according to ASUS repair tech) when updating software. they claimed it's fixed and sent it back few days ago, this morning when I ask my son about the situation, he....... ... show more

    • This is my favorite laptop and I have gone through a lot of them
The build quality was great, not sure what was the deal with all the negative reviews. I have never used HIDevolution before, but they were great, upgraded it and came just like it arrived directly from Asus. I was a little worried that the fans may be as bad as the G14 were, but I was pleasantly surprised. This thing is as quiet as my xps15. Build quality is great, it is blazing fast. The only minor complaint I had was the wifi card is great if you are right by a wifi point, but not direct line of sight there was a noticeable difference. So I just spent 20 bucks and got an intel ax200 card. I decided against the ax210 just because I don't have wifi6e yet anyway, and it is a bit too new. I figure these cards will all be updated when the wifi 6e hit the stores. But I installed this in my laptop and worked like a champ. The antennas are kind of a pain to plug in, so I recommend doing that before you place the card, makes it easier. But I get really solid wifi now. So this laptop is just the bomb, the best one I've owned. The battery life seems pretty decent for a laptop with a 3080 card in it. ... show more
