I got the 3070 model with 1TB and 16GB. What I didn't know is the fact the R9 processor includes integrated Radeon graphics. I'm sure I read it somewhere and it never clicked. Why is that a big deal? Because you can set the device to turn off the RTX chip when you are on battery. The SOC from AMD is far more power efficient. Granted, you aren't going to want to game in that set up. But sitting on the couch using the laptop in "mindless browsing" mode, that is a wonderful, battery-saving addition I had not factored. The build is excellent. The body feels solid and the screen is crisp and smooth. I've never used a screen over 60HZ with Windows before and I am amazed with the 1440p 165hz model on this machine. I have seen reviews online about the display not being real bright but I must have come from a long line of dim devices because this thing is almost blinding to me. That said, I do tend to use a computer in a darker room out of preference. The trackpad is the best I've used on a PC laptop. The keyboard is good; better than my work Lenovo that annoyingly has the FN and CTRL buttons swapped. My issues: 1. The fingerprint sensor seems hit or miss compared to other devices I have used. 2 . The speakers sound a little muddy; probably because I think the sound is coming out of the exhaust vents. I have adjusted them a little, but they aren't the best out there. Definitely give the Dolby app a tweak off the defaults. 3. While not as bad as other vendors, there was still a good bit of junkware for my liking as I usually do completely completely clean Windows installs. And maybe that is what they are just including in Windows 10 these days. 4. Fans get loud when heavy gaming. Just get ready for it. Add that to the muddy speakers and I suggest using a set of gaming headphones Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase. It has been a long time since I upgraded my own computer as I was rocking an AMD FX with a Radeon HD 7900 video card which I used as supplemental heating in my office on cold days. Just like what the title says, this laptop gets too hot really easily, even when it's on idle mode, and it can easily reach 100 Celsius degrees when running a heavy game/program. I really do appreciate the workmanship of HIDevolution on their additional customization, and for that I'll give a 4.5/5 rating, but I would never recommend this particular laptop to anyone who lives in a hot place and/or plans to use this laptop as a desktop replacement. I would say that if a laptop can't stand in a humid (let's say Florida-humid) place at 25 Celsius (77 Fahrenheit) degree when running a heavy workload, then the laptop should be classified as a failure. And this laptop definitely fails this test, because as it is, it can barely stand pre-summer Californian temperature. Oh, and the screen display is a bit too colorful for my liking, and so far I haven't found a way to fix it. ... show more

I researched a lot of reviews, videos, etc.. and this laptop was praised by 99% of the top reviewers, websites that in itself was an amazing statistic and most definitely persuaded me into purchasing my first Windows CPU in10 years. I've now had this laptop a week and I'm highly impressed with the performance, speed, build quality, and features this laptop has to offer at an amazing price. I'm happy I bought this when I did because it's a hot item and everyone wants one so they are extremely hard to find them in stock. Yes, there are laptops that cost a lot more than this one but what you get here is one amazing laptop that performs if not better than those that cost big $$$. ... show more

- I didn’t know that I could purchase the same model with much cheaper(<$1800) price tag at bestbuy - Fingerprint reader doesn’t r recognize my finger after using for a while—need to register my finger again. A little bit annoying, as another fingerprint reader at home just works without a similar problem - Just an average size laptop compared to the competitors with similar weights - I’ve purchased it as a second laptop after using Apple m1 for a while—Ryzen is nice, but I’ve found that it’s much louder/warmer than m1 Macs ... show more

The old saying: You get what you pay for applies here. HiDevolution offers the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 full force. this beast of a laptop crushes most desktop builds of similar caliber. Yes, of course you could build a similarly spec'd machine but you still have to account for a) GPU shortages b) Buying a high refresh rate monitor. 10/10 GPU Performance 10/10 CPU Performance 8/10 Noise Level (I recommend only using Turbo mode if you live alone) 10/10 Build Quality 5/10 Biometrics My only problem with the laptop, that was mentioned in another Amazon review was the lack of backlit customization features and- for whatever reason, my model's fingerprint scanner does not function as advertised, I've tried multiple times to store and use the fingerprint unlock. Premium build materials, QHD display, great battery life and the latest gen graphics card. So far I have not run into any problems with the laptop during gaming and programming sessions. Thermals are stable does not overheat, great temps for a laptop this size fitted with the latest gpu. Only con in my opinion: The prismatic film is a gimmick and is barely visible in normal lighting conditions, wish they put in animatrix in this model those tiny holes will just collect dust. ... show more
