It's the perfect size, very effective, SUPER easy to use. I love it! I leave the unit at work, and only carry the insert back and forth from home. I've brought leftovers that are super easy to reheat, but one of my favorite things to do is to bring Costco frozen soups - faves are ramen and French onion. I put them in the gizmo, turn it on, and by the time I'm ready to eat, it's hot and ready to go. And my coworkers think it's great because it doesn't smell while it's heating. My ONLY gripe is that the plastic lid to the bowl portion isn't super tight and pops up when it's heating. I don't 100% trust it carrying it back and forth so I double bag it in case the contents spill. I bought this little crock pot based on the good reviews and I am so glad I did. I take it to work to warm up my breakfast or lunch and it works perfectly! The food heats nicely, quickly and the best part is it doesn't smell when the food is heating up, which is a good thing where I work as we have people who can't be distracted by strong smells in my area, so this was a great solution! ... show more

I love this for heating up my lunches. I just put in my leftovers from the night before plug it in and by lunch time I have a hot meal. I do wish it had a low setting because it does get rather hot but overall it heats your lunch in your classroom and you don't have to waste your time going to the staff room for the microwave. ... show more

I love this. I use it all the time. I plug it in about 2 hours before lunch and my food is always hot. Outside doesn’t get hot either. Only thing to note is the inner cover isn’t leakproof. So if you are packing soup I would suggest putting it in a separate container for travel and then placing it in the crockpot when you arrive. ... show more

    • Very convenient food warmer (not a cooker!)
I bought mine 3 years ago, along with a couple extra liner/lids. I plug it in when I get to work in the morning, pop in the liner (which has usually come out of my refrigerator) and by lunch time I have a nice hot meal. The liner and lid are dishwasher safe. Observations: Mine is slightly older so has the attached cord. Since I leave it at work, that's not an issue. I have it plugged into a power strip, so it's easy for me to plug and unplug (it doesn't have an off switch). Two of the lids I have are not liquid-tight. If I was transporting something with a lot of liquid, like a soup, I'd put it in plastic grocery sack and sit on the floor of my car, but for anything else, it's not really an issue. It would be nice to have the lids tight for transport, but it's not a deal-killer. I like that it slowly warms up the food evenly, unlike a microwave. It also tastes more like the food when it was first cooked, rather than the 'warmed up' taste. Note: I ordered the extra liners/internal lids directly from the Crockpot web site, as I couldn't find them for sale here. I got them within a week. ... show more

I LOVE this. I keep it at the office. I pop my lunch in there while I work and have a hot meal in no time at all. It has a small footprint and is über convenient. The inner pot is easy to clean and very transportable. A perfect time-saver for a busy work day.

A co-worker had one and I bought it because it was so cute. After I got it, I fell IN LOVE! It not only heats up soup, but any casserole, chili, side dish that you can scoop in there. I love not needing the microwave as much. My co-workers have seen it and they smell my lunch when I take the top off! Now they want one. I even bought 1 as a Christmas present for my best friend!
