Overall my experience aligns with many of the positive reviews here: 1) the product was packed just like Apple product (except that the white box does not have Apple's logo), very well packed and looks very new. 2) Similar to other buyer's experience, upon checking the battery performance, mine has only been used for 3 cycles. I was originally looking at the MacBook Neo, but once I saw that a used 14-inch MacBook Pro M1 Pro was selling for basically the same price and was better performance all around, I went with the M1 Pro instead. That was the right call. The laptop still feels fast, smooth, and strong enough for both everyday use and heavier creative work. The display, speakers, ports, active cooling, and sustained performance all make it the smarter buy. The issue is Amazon Renewed consistency. I ended up ordering two units back to back: a 512GB model, then a 1TB version when the price dropped and was only about $60 more. I am glad I did, because the difference between them was huge even though both were rated “Excellent.” The 1TB unit was in rough shape. It had a big ding on one corner, clearly had been dropped, arrived very dirty, and the keyboard was oily and gross out of the box. The 512GB one, on the other hand, looked almost brand new. It had one small dent on the top lid (I think that may have happened during shipping), but it was minor enough that I kept it and have been very happy with it. The 512GB machine came from a store whose name rhymes with "Rome Source", and that one was a great experience! It even included what looked like a brand new third-party charger and magsafe-like cable. The 1TB unit came from a seller with "Prime" and "Renewed" in the name, and that one was NOWHERE near “Excellent.” I would have called it “Acceptable” at best. It also came with the most basic phone charging brick and USB cable. See photos. So the MacBook Pro M1 Pro itself is still a great buy. You simply need to know that the Renewed condition grade seems to depend a lot on the seller. If you get a good one, it is absolutely worth it. If not, be ready to return it. ... show more

So I got the product in and soon as I open the box the MacBook was bubble wrapped. When I took it out the MacBook looked really good. I got this in excellent condition and I say that description is pretty accurate. Like a handful of small scratches here and there that you’d have to really look hard to see. Keyboard and trackpad look and feel fantastic. The MacBook came with no charge at all so I had to charge it. Put the MagSafe cable in and no light was shown. So I waited 10 minutes no light still and MacBook wouldn’t turn on at all. I tried the other usbc cable provided and that didn’t work as well. So at this point I didn’t know if it was the charger or the MacBook that was the issue. So I tried something weird I used the little brick that I used to charge my ipad into the MagSafe cable they provided and the charging light actually came on but it took 20 minutes before I was able to actually turn it on. With all that being said the issue was the adapter the plugged into the wall which I had to go to Best Buy and spend $80 on the charging adapter. The MacBook came with 73 charge cycles which I’m okay with. The MacBook itself is working fine as of now but will update if there’s any issues down the line. ... show more

This MacBook came in nearly perfect condition! only 1 VERY faint scratch on the top, but overall no noticeable cosmetic damage. Screen, speakers, fans, hinge, keys and ports are all in perfect condition. And this came with 97% battery capacity.
