  • Fun bike with good customer support.
This bike was a pretty simple assembly. If you are buying one that you need to assemble the video on the product site does a good job showing you what you need to do. The paper instructions will get you there but you may be a little confused since it's black and white photos and the translation isn't very detailed. I did have an issue with the countershaft seal either being faulty from the factory. i started losing oil suddenly on the first ride so I recommend checking all your seals before your first ride. The customer support was really helpful diagnosing and sending out replacement parts. This is a very rare issue for these bikes. I'm impressed that the reviewer who said he ignored the check engine light on his bike and just ran it for a good 4000 miles before it blew up shows you they are decently built for their price. I have seen videos of people on youtube getting 16,000 or more miles out of them so for 2500 tagged and titled that's a pretty good value. The makers of these engines also make the engines for harbor freights generators and they really last if you are good about your service on them. Even if you are not they can handle abuse. I would recommend the protection plan offered from assurion, it will cover any parts and labor if you need to repair it after the factory 3 month warranty is over. ... show more

  • For a starter or back roads and trails bike it's gr8
Is it a bike I would take up in the mountains for serious enduro. No. Not without some upgrades for sure. But out the door for 2k is a great deal for it. Change a few cheap things out and it'll treat you right. I use it for a farm bike and it's been good to me. U need to break it in correctly tho thats key. It's a brand new motor. Treat it as such and it'll do its job. It's surprised me on some trails. 17 point sprocket, some better tires, change out the fork fluid, and regular maintenance and this bike can surprise u. Also zip tie or fasten the odometer wire to forks better. They hit spokes and mess up wire not a deal breaker. 50 cent fix. ... show more

  • Fun bike - customer service non-existent, finding parts is ridiculous
It is actually a pretty fun bike when it runs. The luthium ion battery has had problems charging, and now we know it is because of a bad voltage regulator. It took me weeks to find a replacement which is on the way and hopefully it will be the right one. Couldn’t get customer service at Motopro to respond. But like I said when it is running it is a fun bike. ... show more

  • Yeah buddy
Have plenty of bikes in the fleet but was feeling frisky and wanted to get something for my dad for Father's day. Came shipped on a short semi. Quick delivery. Great communication from seller. Easy to piece together. Enough shipping metal around it to one protect it and two build a go kart frame with. Runs great. Valves were set correct on arrival. Make sure to drain and put real oil in bike before first use. ... show more

  • Great for the price!
Nice little bike. It cost me about $2700 after shipping, title, registration, and all the other required things. The instructions are terrible but watch some online videos and you should be fine. Couple tips: -Look up the titling requirements for your state ahead of time. The required documentation came about a week after the bike arrived so it won’t be street legal until you get the DMV stuff taken care of. -change the oil as soon as you get it out together. -buy a good torque wrench and check all the bolts. -check and fill the tires. ... show more

  • Best starter dual sport bike for the money.
I stumbled upon this after watching YouTube. These motors can take a lot of abuse, these bikes are common in other parts of the world outside the US and have finally met regulations to be sold here again. For the money it is hands down the best option available. Assembly was fairly easy, look for videos on YouTube if you need help. The oil that comes in it is garbage, use better break-in oil. It rides fantastic and was able to register the bike pretty easy in PA. Manufacturer provides excellent support (American Lifan). Contact them directly if you have any issues, they go out of their way to ensure you have a great working product. 10/10 would buy again in a heartbeat! It started right up, is brand new, and got me riding immediately. ... show more

  • Defective ECU
Purchased the bike March 2021, but hardly got to use it. Fired it up with 84 miles June 2023 via kickstart because the battery was dead. It started right away :). I left it running for 15 minutes to let the battery charge. Turned it off and started it with the electric starter with no issues. I turned it off to do other stuff around the yard and decided to take my son for a spin around the neighbor hood an hour later, but it would not start. I tried kick starting it with no success either. Bike gets fuel via the pump and has spark but it's not sending signal to open the injector. I ordered an injector tester from amazon and the injector tested perfectly fine. Had facetime call with support and they determined that the computer(ECU) is bad or some other fuel injection component but since I'm passed the warranty period, the bike is old, the manufacture probably do not have any part in stock for it, and that it would take months to get a replacement ECU, etc. i'm pretty much being told too bad and good luck. Anyway... I'm out 2k on a bike that I only put 84 miles on that was stored in a dry area and covered up since owned. Seller said they would reach out the the vendor but didn't give much assurance that my bike would be fixed anytime soon... hopefully things work out for the best in the end and they have the part they can send or that I can at least buy. ... show more
