I did a lot of research on laptops. This was a gift for my daughter who is a computer science major and also produces music. So she needed these specs for her needs. And as I started looking I knew this was going to cost me. But her and some of her “computer” friends found this. I was nervous that it had been opened and modified but this seemed the only option for getting what she needed at this price. She’s happy with the computer.     • Extremely frustrating - two lap tops didn’t connect to internet out of the box
I bought this computer for work. First one came and wouldn’t connect to the internet. I tried to troubleshoot it, but ultimately ordered a replacement. Second one had the same exact issue. Luckily, a friend of mine repairs the computers and was able to fix it…but I shouldn’t have to do that. While making the upgrades, the seller is not making sure that the lap tops are set up to function out of the box. After upgrading the hardware, they factory reset the devices, which results in the computer forgetting all of it’s internet and usb drivers - making the computer useless. The camera still doesn’t work but at least the rest of the computer is ready to go. Incredibly frustrating experience- I hope the lap top ends up working over the long haul. ... show more

    • I don't want a touch Screen Just a Track Point of the Think Pad
The Track Pointer of the Think Pad is great. I have used this form of a "mouse" for many years and have saved my hand and wrist from damage. Sorry that only Lenovo offers the option. This laptop may not even have a touch screen, if it does it is turned off along with the touch pad. The laptop boot's quickly and handles my work choice of multiple windows open and multiple tabs open on my browser. I love it so far! ... show more

    • Works fine but buyer beware it's missing a basic feature
I've been using this for a few months and it's a nice laptop. But I didn't realize until it was too late to return that it doesn't have a camera card slot so I can load photos directly into a folder. I guess they assume everyone has a camera with bluetooth capability.

    • I got a lemon!
I purchased this laptop a little over a year ago ...within a month I had it in for warranty work. I should have returned it then but decided to keep it. Six months later the hard drive went out. Now it has the first problem again and there is a problem with the modem. It's junk .

Bought the laptop on 12 of November 2021. Today, 16th of November, 2022 stoped working- not turning on. Tried all the advices on this matter. Still not working. Called Lenovo for warranty - was told expired on 12 of November 2022. So, over 1300$ for 1 year use. Kind of expensive...if buy, ask for all the possible warranties. ... show more
