I needed an Intel Mac for dual booting for a UV printer and this is the best laptop that fits that bill. Almost every seller has an inaccurate description, all the 2019 16in I9s says Radeon Pro 5500M graphics card but most I got had the standard 5300M. I had to return several to get a good one. I got finally lucky, the last one I got had the correct 5500M card but with upgraded 8gb VRAM, and the laptop looks brand new with only 100 battery cycles somehow on a 6 year old machine. It actually holds up just fine next to my M3 MacBook Air to my surprise and will be able to run macOS Tahoe. With the 32gb ram and 1 tb SSD I'll actually be using this as my main design workstation, not bad for $500. Refurbished electronics are an amazing deal, but you have to know exactly what you need and know how to inspect it. ... show more

I bought two separate MacBook Pro’s in “excellent condition”. Neither of them fit the description. The first one came with a deeper dent in the lid, scratches all along the outer edges, cracked plastics just below the screen, and a bad battery. The battery states service recommended and has a 1700 cycle count. I figured it was sent by mistake, so I ordered another before setting up my return to get it quickly. The second looked worse than the first with dents on the bottom, shiny wear marks on either side of the track pad, outer edge scratches, a very greasy screen, and a dirty keyboard with some sticky keys. Very affordable refurbished mac book pro. Perfect for software engineering if you need something off the shelf but don't want to shell out big bucks. Beware, if you are using an older mac book refurb like this for software, any macbook from before 2020 uses a different chipset architecture (aarch vs the newer silicone chipset), which can affect the compatibility of some software depending on what you're trying to do. ... show more

I love my 2019 rebuilt MacBook Pro!! It was well packaged for travel. I must have lucked out too because it advertised 32 mg of RAM for memory but came with 64 mg!! You would never know it was a used computer. The shell is scratchless, the screen is pristine and it runs fabulously! I am extremely happy with my purchase. It was a bargain at its price!! I ordered the 2.3GHz i9. The item came with everything as expected, however the listing says only "Intel Integrated Grahpics", which is incorrect for every 16-inch Pro, they all include some sort of dedicated Radeon graphics card. So, I was pleasantly surprised when receiving the 5500M 8GB upgrade. Additionally, the SSD was in 100% health, and battery was brand new with only 1 cycle ran. This is the second laptop I purchased from this company… the first I bought and the right speaker was blown on arrival and the battery only lasted about two hours off charge… also when the laptop is plugged in the battery icon says “power source: power, adapter, battery not charging“ I purchased this second laptop to use while the first one was going through the return process, and while this one has a working set of speakers, it also is doing the same thing with the battery stating that it’s not charging and only lasting about two hours off the adapter… I’m going to keep this one since it is a good laptop for the money, but part of the reason people buy portable devices is so that they can run them on battery and not have to worry about being tethered to a power adapter… hopefully this one will work fine although I am getting a stuttering screensaver and YouTube videos keep buffering so I’m not sure what’s going on with that… ... show more

I've been an IT tech for 30 years, here is my review of the Amazon renewed MacBook Pro laptops. Starting off with the bad, the bad isn't that bad really, the laptop was listed as Excellent, and in that condition according to Amazon, shouldn't have any dings, on the lid on the edge there is two small dings right on the edge, while disappointing ,it isn't a deal killer for me, i do think it should have been maybe $20-40 cheaper because of it and loses one star because of it. Not a huge deal The air vents looked like they might have been quickly cleaned, but still had fuzz in them, which i was able to vacuum out pretty easily, but would of liked this to already been done. i9 macbook pros love to run hot, so clean vents are important. So I might take the back off to do a good cleaning. But considering things, I was ok with it, but others should inspect the vents and make sure the vent holes are clean to keep good performance and cooling. That out of the way, it matched all the other requirements for Excellent condition. Battery is in "normal" condition and above 80% life. Keyboard is in great shape. Speakers are perfect sounding, touchpad is perfect, and now the screen. The screen has no visible scratches and no dead pixels and seems to be in perfect shape and looks fantastic. Performance, the performance seems good, it runs Serato DJ pro perfectly for hours. Runs Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro just fine. Gaming is decent, games like minecraft get 100FPS, other 3d games get 50-100fps and is very playable. So for the casual gamer it's decent. Overall I'm really pleased with the laptop and would recommend buying amazon renewed in Excellent and Good condition i believe. I bought two of these renewed Macbook pros at the same time, one is Excellent condition and one is Excellent but has the tiny dings previously mentioned. ... show more

    • Don't Buy!!!
Bought for my husband on Father's Day. Well Fast forward 30 days and unfortunately we found that the plug in/ports don't work. Only one works for charging and it never charges to 100%. So embarrassing and disappointed. Don't Buy this they don't offer partial refunds or anything. Basically got scammed. Amazon refused to help as they said all they can do is a return. My husband has already downloaded and transferred programs to this "new laptop". With a new one we'd have to start from square one. Huge inconvenience!! ... show more
