These sheets are 100% cotton, with a 500 thread count. They are very nice and soft. I bought a set of these a year or more ago, and liked them so much that I just bought a second set. What I especially appreciate about the sheets is that they are generously sized, so can accommodate our very deep King size mattress. (The set of sheets I’m replacing are very skimpy: It’s a struggle to get that last corner of the fitted sheet on the mattress, and the fitted sheet keeps popping off because it’s not deep enough.) I recently purchased these sheets and have been quite pleased with their overall comfort and aesthetic appeal. They feel soft against the skin. However, I did encounter a slight issue with the color naming. I ordered what is labeled as "Navy Blue," but I found the actual color to be more of a "steel blue." My previous navy blue sheets had a much darker hue, so I was expecting something closer to that. While the shade is still nice and aligns closely with the picture in the listing, it does differ from traditional navy blue. Despite this color discrepancy, I’m still happy with the product and will be keeping the sheets. Overall, I would recommend these sheets for their comfort and quality, but keep in mind the color may not match your expectations of navy blue. ... show more

All the sheets I have purchased from California Design Den have been excellent, including these. I am a hot sleeper, and the 500 count has been a little too much. They are nice and smooth and cool to a point. I've woken up multiple times sweating even with a fan on. These may be more for the winter months or a cooler climate. I live in the South and the winters are usually mild. The fault is my own for not doing more research. Im keeping them anyway. The pockets aren't as deep as the Egyptian cotton sets, but it should not be an issue. ... show more

    • Very loose fitted sheets.

Fitted sheets are very loose on 12” mattresses. The sheets are very good quality and hold their color through multiple washings, but they’re terribly loose on a brand new Sealy hybrid 12” mattress set. No amount of washing and even a puffy mattress protector will tighten them up. We will live with these, but will return the unopened second sets. These should be advertised for 14 to 18 inch mattresses only. ... show more
