I bought this light in December 2023. I installed it and the brightness is excellent. However, I do not like how the motion sensor is working. ALL night it brightens then in a few minutes time the brightness dips. Why does it behave like that? I spent enough money on this product and the remote does not work with new batteries. Been looking for light for backyard. I was a bit skeptical but I’m glad I got it. Easy setup, looks quite nice and bright at night. I have it lit up at 30% all night and only brightens up 100% when motion detected.

Wanted to provide lighting for children to play on the playground at night safely. This LED solar powered light was the answer. As you can see by the picture I installed one on each end of the playground and they lit up the play area with no problem at half of the lumens.     • Motion Sensor Flaw

I wish I could determine if the motion sensor is flawed on my light or if this is just the way it is for everyone. Everything works fine, but my motion sensor only kicks the brightness up for about 5 sec before dropping back to 30%. After that, no amount of motion will trigger the brighter light to come back on until a few minutes have passed. I thought the light would stay bright as long as it detected motion. I live out in the country where strangers sometimes roam. Having 5 sec of bright light isn't the deterrent I was hoping for. I'll probably have to leave it on 100% brightness all night, but I don't know if the battery will endure until the sun rises. ... show more
