This is a really great immersion heater. I use it to heat up the water I save in a bucket on cold days when the water heater does not heat up so quickly. I'm able to conserve a lot of water this way. This immersion heater has a lot of safety features, and as long as you are using it properly, I feel very safe and comfortable using it. I leave the heater on and come back in about 10 minutes and the water is very warm. It works very well, much better than I expected.

This little heater was so useful when my water heater was out for 3 weeks. It does take awhile to heat up a bathtub full of water, but it gets quite hot after a couple hours. The thermometer is accurate. I found it helped me to put a sign on the tub while it's heating to avoid my natural inclination to put my hand into the water to check the temp as it rose. It was worth every penny to put all body parts into a tub of warm water instead of one at a time in a bucket lol. A 3 gal bucket will heat in a few minutes.

On a farm in the northeast, we have two types of portable water heaters. The first is a drop in heater for a water trough for animals to make sure their fresh water doesn’t freeze up. This is NOT that type of heater. This type of heater is designed to warm a 5 gallon plastic bucket of water to a temperature warm enough for bathing or cleaning items. This type of heater will have a mild electrical current in the water while the wand is submerged. This is not a fault, this is not a defect, this is a way these heaters work. So if you’re not familiar with this type of heater or you have new farm help, make sure they know the difference. lol We have livestock in the Northeast of the USA and we do not have hot water running to the barn. At least once a week, I use water, soap and a scrub brush, then sterilize all the food, dishes, and water troughs. I heat the water in a 5 gallon bucket, as you should NEVER use this in a metal bucket. Then I use the water for cleaning. These types of portable water heaters are very common and many countries where people may not have hot water tanks. They work well in any non metal container. I do have iron and some calcium in my water, so the one can get a mineral buildup. There is a brillo wire pad included in this kit. There was also a drop in the thermometer if you think you need that. I noticed this one does not have an on off switch so I just plug it and unplug it. It works exactly as expected. It will be below freezing until February here, so I always keep an immersion water heater and a backup. one as well. This one does have a two year replacement warranty, so I will keep track of that. Absolutely no problems with this so far.

Pleasantly surprised. Will heat 5 gal water from 72 to 106 in about 7 minutes. Works as advertised. Just be careful around electricity and water, don't touch the water with this plugged in and make sure kids stay away. It works, but there are obviously some burn , shock danger.
