Had a problem with my hot water heater and didn't have the money to replace it right away so, I bought this so I could at least have hot water to do the dishes and heat up the water in the tub. Hell, I totally forgot about it and hours later it was up to 121°F. It was evaporating all of the water. Didn't burn or melt anything. I have a plastic bathtub and it didn't hurt it in the least. Very good product.

You have to do it right my first time using it I did it successfully you want to fully submerge the item in the water let it lay down let it do its thing. The second time I did it I wasn't thinking I had it plugged in thankfully it didn't burn the outlet but it made it stop working so my landlord is replacing that but it works fantastic it really does in a bath and everything but all you got to do is follow the directions on the box that's it it says fully submerged in water just do that and you'll be gold I would buy this again definitely you just got to do it right then it's safe
