After I hooked this up properly (power off and tested with multimeter, following all best practices and instructions) to a hardwired 10 Awg 3c wire and added another of the same AC circuit breakers to my RV, this inverter works great! I used 2 Awg wire from the terminals to the battery bank, buying and fitting the proper connectors for each end to the wires, and tightened to the terminals as snug as can be without starting to bend or break those, as they are a little small. When the inverter is wired, the instructions recommend to run it for 30 minutes to 1 hour with no load to pre-charge the capacitors. This generator has no problem with powering the wifi, microwave, hair dryer, water heater anode, printer, or tv, each turned on and used independently of another. It works well as long as the wattage draw isn't over 2000W continuous. The new AC breaker of the same type as the others already in the rv is essential for the safety, durability, and lifespan of the inverter. When it is turned off, it takes the hot wire from the lithium ion battery converter that I had previously installed in the rv, and shuts that off with the inverter powered on. This is so the battery feeding the inverter feeding the hardwire plug ran to the outside 30A input of the rv does not create a continual loop back to itself; That would wear out and cause potential major issues with the inverter's transformers and mosfets, and the rv's battery bank as well,, and potentially be a safety or fire issue.

The media could not be loaded. Use: Paired with my 100Ah LiFePO battery to help keep our aquarium creatures alive during power outages, and to run a space heater and lamps. Nice that it has USB outlets for our phones too! And GFCI outlets, heck yeah! Customer service: Excellent. They respond to my many questions and concerns. That fills me with hope in case something goes wrong during the 18 month warranty period. I love responsiveness. Display: Love it. Easy to read input voltage (from battery), and output voltage and watts (going to my devices). This is good awareness not only of how quickly I'm depleting my battery, but how much strain is on the inverter. Sound: It is silent until you reach about 800 watts. Then the fan kicks on, but it's really not bad. More of a soothing white noise. No weird smells (other than the initial smell of coming out of the factory). Prevent Sparks: Anytime you connect a battery to an inverter a pop/spark happens as the capacitor quickly chargers. Avoid by bridging negative terminal with a resistor for 5-10 seconds, before connecting as normal. Slows the current = No scary spark! 30 ohm, 25 watt resistor. Cables: You get 2 PAIRS of 5 AWG cable. Two 5 AWG cables equals 2 AWG. So you actually have 2 AWG. Why are they split and not one big fat cable? Maybe the factory had a huge stock of 5 AWG. Or maybe the 2 separate cables help with heat dispersion. Under heavy load the inverter felt a bit warm but the cables were noticeably cooler. They are CCA (copper clad aluminum)...would've liked pure copper, but you can't always get what you want.

I bought this unit to replace our 1000w Samlex inverter which never failed us but we now need a bit more current. Unit appears well constructed. So far is operating as expected. The real test will be longevity. The Samlex was trouble free for 8 years. I will mention a couple of things. The fan kicks in much quicker than expected with no where near a full load. It is moderately loud. The lugs are too small for a unit of this size and recommended wire size of 1/0. The lugs are M6. The screen has to be the biggest disappointment. It is an LCD so one has to view it at a specific angle to see the data displayed. Otherwise you just see a blank blue screen which is what I see because of where it is mounted in relation to where one would view the screen. This makes the screen useless in our case. Disappointing but not a deal breaker as we have other monitoring devices that tell us what we need to know. Nevertheless, I think a digital screen would be a much better choice. Lastly, I contacted customer service twice and both times got timely responses. A huge plus in my opinion.

I am very impressed with the PS-2000SDR. I am even more impressed with their support. . I had some questions about adding a GFCI outlet using the terminals. Their support was comprehensive and quick. I now have multiple outlets powered by the PS-2000SDR, each with GFCI protection. . I also had a need to remotely control the inverter (turn it on and off), This device has no Bluetooth or WiFi, but it does have a remote power panel. I was able to hack the cable going to the remote panel and figure out which 2 wires turn the inverter on and off. Using a Shelly UNI+, I am able to turn the inverter on and off (or via timer) from anywhere in the world. I've got my 'no load' draw down to less than 2.5 watts when the inverter is off. Perfect for off grid applications where the inverter may not be needed all the time. . Great Job and a giant thank you to Elsa in Giandel support.

this is my second 12 v inverter, I gotta say it works fine right out of the box, no issues at all. the screen is clear and bright, remote works well. I will purchase another Giandel inverter when ready to upgrade to higher power. Fan is not very loud.
