Very sound design. Manufacturing is solid and very reliable and easy to operate. It actually does what you need to help humidity crawl spaces and maintain control over moisture levels. Covering up desired coverage space and limit moisture in the space it is installed. Very reasonable price point and has automatic on and off circuits and drip line. The size is minimum but it is heavy (apparently has durability to last). Continuously minimizing odor or smells and has an automatic shut-off and it also, defrost during colder months.     • Avoid like the plague

Don't buy. Plain and simple. Don't buy. Worked for one summer and now the inlet coils are freezing up (likely refrigerant leak). Running in warm (75-80 degree room). Filter and coils are clear. Trying to contact Andte for support. No luck yet. Email is only method to contact support.

Tired of messing around with household dehumidifiers? This one is commercial, and you will pay the price for it, but this is an awesome unit. I use mine in my encapsulated crawlspace below the house. It really pulls the humidity from the air and ground fast. Has a nice, corded remote control panel. I drilled a little hole through my floor so that the line to the control panel runs inside the house (the cord runs through the floor, and then is screwed into the control panel unit inside the house, so the hole is just an inch, which I stuffed with insulation). I can change the setting for the dehumidifier from the comfort of my home, instead of having a crawl way back in the crawlspace to do this. Plus, the control panel tells me how the humidity is in the crawlspace. Again, I can find this information out from the comfort of my home. It is 75 pounds, so it takes some lugging. But, I’m very glad I purchased this unit. The only thing I would change would be with the drain hose. It comes with a narrow drain hose that fits to the unit. This is fine, if you are just draining into a sump pump on the floor nearby, but if you are draining out of a crawlspace, this is in adequate. I would have preferred that the hose connection were fit for a garden hose or for PVC pipe. I was able to use a rubber adapter that I owned that went from the included narrow drain hose size into my garden hose to carry the water outside my crawlspace. ... show more

I was having sever issues with water in the crawl space of the new house we built. Had the crawl space totally encapsulated and it was raining down there. Put this unit in with 90%+ humidity levels, came out of the crawl space wet from head to toe after installation. Within 4 days the humidity was down 20% and now it sits around 50% after 3 weeks of running. When I go into the crawl space and come out after a few minutes you really feel the humidity outside. Crawl spare is about 3000 sq ft and around 4 feet tall, a real crawl space. Does a fantastic job!! 6/10/2026 update. This unit has failed and their 5 year warranty is worthless. No customer support at all. it worked great at first, but that was short lived. Amazon should take them off their website. ... show more

    • LCD display very dim, hard for me to read
Update May 2024- Our second replacement unit has stopped working, just like the first one. Don't waste your time trying to go through Amazon Customer Service. You get the run around. Talked to one person on the phone and they sent me an email so I could get in touch with ANDTE, the manufacturer. Turns out the email was just taking me to the sales page on Amazon. Second attempt the Customer Service person did give me an email address for ANDTE. I will wait and see whether they reply? I ordered this Dehumidifier for our 2400 Sq. ft. Basement. It arrived very well packaged. I set it up today and noticed that the output duct adapter was missing. Its not in the box? Then I saw its hidden inside the case on the side of the Dehumidifier that has the LCD display. Take the machine screws out and open the white panel and there is the duct adapter! The unit fires up and is working. Its very quiet, which is nice compared to the free standing unit it replaced. The LCD display is really dim and hard to read. Its side lit by an LED but you have to shade the panel with your hand to see what the display indicates. UPDATE Sept 2023, this unit was GREAT when I first installed it. Now few months later it seems to almost stop working. I installed a cork float to monitor the water in the pump put take. It barely fills and empties 3 times a day? I live in Virginia and we still have high humidity days in September. Digital Humidity meters in the same room show 56%. Machine is not working any more like it use too? ... show more

Was working great since purchase (7/6/24). Then about 10/2/24 I noticed that the coils were iced up. I defrosted it, let it set for 24 hours and restarted it. About 2 hours later it was iced up again. I contacted the company (by email; no 800 number), they replied quickly and sent a replacement. We'll see how this 1 works. I'll update. ... show more

Received the dehumidifier about a months.This dehumidifier was easy to set up and use. It made my basement much better smelling and so much drier. Reasonably quiet. Not much difference in terms of noise between low and high settings.Good enough for my 1000 sq ft basement!

    • Company Does Not Honor Warranty

I purchased this item because it was advertised as a commercial grade unit and had a 5 year, manufacturers warranty. After approximately 18 months the unit no longer worked and I promptly contacted Andte (manufacturer) for support. No telephone number for the manufacture was provided on their website or the printed material supplier at the time of purchase, so I emailed them for support. After 3 attempts with no response I contacted Amazon for help. Two days later I received an email from Andte asking for photos and confirmation of a few questions regarding the units operation. They responded and said the unit would be replaced. Now, 1 month later and many attempts to contact Andte, there is NO response whatsoever. This company does not honor its warranty and is hiding behind false advertising. ... show more
