Upon receiving these inserts for my walking shoes, I replaced my shoes' inserts. Upon putting my shoes on and standing I felt an immediate difference in my comfort level. Recently, I have begun to feel irritation and soreness in my left heel. I began icing my left ankle and foot in a large plastic container. Although the icing provided immediate relief, the foot felt discomfort upon walking. On the first day of a 3 to 4 mile walk with these inserts, I still felt a little soreness but I did not feel any new aggravation or sustained pain in my heel. After visiting with a podiatrist, my teenage son and I looked on Amazon for an arch support that was recommended for my son’s flat feet. This one fit the bill!
