These extension rods are just what I needed for a lighting project. I'm not using these as extensions to an existing fixture, but am making a large sculptural fixture from scratch. These are already threaded so it will make the armatures very easy to assemble and wire. One end has an external thread and the other an internal thread. I'll have to cut a few of them but for the most part, they are perfect as-is for my design. The included threaded connectors make it easy to assemble the longer armatures. I'm quite pleased to find these since they're perfect for my needs. They're very strong and should be quite durable. The finish doesn't look like it will scratch easily. The threads on a couple of them seem a bit stubborn but I was able to push through the rough spots and they're fine now. And for a buck each, basically, it's a great deal!

Yes, these 12-inch matte black extension rods are quite handy when hanging a chandelier over my kitchen island. They fit well with the M10 threads and feel sturdy enough for everyday use. I’ve used one in my dining area and it worked perfectly.
