I use it for my 10gal and it couldn't definitely hold a 20 just fine. Its very sturdy but a little smaller than I thought. The size is just fine because it makes my tank sit at a good height when im on the couch. Hardware aligns just fine, just make sure to not tighten the bolts all the way as youre building. Tighten the bolts until the very end and everything will line up perfectly.

The size is smaller than I anticipated but that’s my own fault for not checking specs. The assembly was not fun as the Allen wrench that was provided went bad after tightening only three screws. Stripped and unable to use it. So that’s cool. :/ the stand itself (the base where I will be putting a fish tank on) is uneven as all get out. So that makes me feel super uneasy putting anything on it. And now that it’s out of the box and everything I won’t be able to return it which I wish I could do because the quality isn’t there at all. I should have sprung $40 more for a higher quality stand from a different company. Not a happy camper.
