Great climbing toy for cats. I used this as part of my floor to ceiling cat tree set up. The rope will need to air out in the sun for a few days as there is some strange odor upon arrival. That's nothing new. Regardless this rope is big enough for a human to use and is great quality. The tree in the pictures is 10 feet tall.

I had the idea of trying this climbing rope for our three cats, who are always on the lookout for anything to climb. Initially, I hung it in our house, but they would jump from the rope to our curtains and furniture, so I had to take it outside. Now, I’m trying to find a suitable spot in our house for the rope. In the meantime, I’ve been taking it outside when the weather is nice and hanging it from a tree they love to climb. I’ve seen them climb it a few times, but I haven’t been paying much attention to them on the rope. I’m sure they use it because, as I mentioned earlier, they love to climb. The rope is quite thick and feels sturdy, and there’s a heavy-duty locking carabiner at the top. This is an interesting way to provide your cats with a climbing option in your home.

I hooked this cat-climbing-rope in my laundry shoot and put a box with blankets under it and my cat and her little kittens LOVE IT!! I rescued a pregnant mommy and am keeping them all so we need recreation!

The hardware included, specifically the anchors are generally for concrete or brick so not feasible for wood+sheetrock which most of the houses I've been to have. I was thinking toggle-anchors first, but realized a simple screw-in hook anchor would suffice. Our cats haven't yet used it, but it's only been 1 day (will update when that changes). At best, they came close and sniffed it whacked it a bit and walked on. -1 star for unfit hardware, -1 for non-interesting item for the cat. I've pulled on it (knowing it was mounted to a stud) and it would hold our cats, even if all 3 happen to jump on there for a 3am competitive dangling sports, so it's sturdy. Also I've placed it near a known pet pad so if they fall, likely less chance of injuries. As value for money... I believe it was about $36 at time of order, but unfortunately I don't think it's worth it (since it hasn't been used yet) but if you have a climbing type cat this would be different for you and may well be worth it.
