So I remember all the Chinese knock off side by sides, 4 wheelers, you name it, whatever they could copy for a cheaper price and cheaper quality. It was always something I avoided the time. Came from me to buy a trolling motor and I couldn't see the justification in paying so much money for a Honda or a Yamaha. So I started doing a little research, found it a really good review. A few of them in fact, on YouTube regarding this engine, I will tell you first-hand that I subjected this thing, do some severe hours on hours of trolling out here in the Nevada lakes. And never had a problem. Did have to increase the idol a bit Just a little bit, but that was it put 5 gallons in my auxiliary fuel can and have 12 hours, better trolling and well over half a tank of fuel still, the shipping was great fast and yeah, very well, packaged. Came with spark plug, head gasket toolkit. I bought the 6.5 4 stroke. Has a lot of low end on it Not as much top end as my 6 horse Yamaha, 2 stroke did, but much more real liable and affordable That's my 2 cents. Also, it's looking at this motor look for other vendor's selling it. I was able to not pay the tariffs due to finding a dealer in California that already had it in stock. So I gave like six hundred and some change for this thing.

The media could not be loaded. Starts 3-4th pull on cold start. 1st pull after warm. Runs good in bucket. Only runs on choke. Pushed my autopilot 120 12ft Kayak about 3.75 mph, I was hoping for more as my trolling motor runs about the same speed. I believe it is because of the choke issue. It feels like it doesn’t rev high enough on the water. But $150 I can’t complain.

I got the 6hp 2 stroke model and have it on a 12ft Jon boat. We took it out on the lake this weekend for the first time to start the break in. With 25:1 fuel mix (what recommended for break in) and roughly 500lbs of people and hear we maintained a steady 6 mph (on a plane) with a top speed of 9 mph.

Pretty awesome little engine. Has a few minor quality issues… like the choke… the flimsiest piece of plastic on an area that is constantly being pulled in and out…. So silly.
