There are many positive things about this product. It’s easy to open and set up and the handle on the back is good for anyone who wants a little more support while on the steps. The steps have a nonslip coating, too. It folds up easily and folds flat for storage. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the locking mechanism doesn’t seem that sturdy and it’s lighter weight than I expected. ... show more

We purchased a Pretigo step stool over 20 years ago so when I purchased this one I thought I was getting the same thing, not so. They have cheapened it, not as sturdy, the steps are smaller, disappointed.

This step stool is sturdy, and holds a fluffy adult with ease. It is useful to men and women alike. It is perfect for the kitchen and around the house. It folds up easily once you get the hang of it. I usually lift it off the floor and it collapses easily. I recommend this one quite highly!!!

    • Latch is flimsy
The steps are nice and wide, and it feels sturdy. It doesn’t have anything to hang onto as you step up. The latch to unlock and close up the step stool is disappointing.
