    • Decent stock brake pads, moderate performance
These brake pads are your standard OEM brake pads just like the ones that come with the Surron out of the box. Performance is just OK. They do stop the bike but stopping distance could be better. They also tend to squeal when they are wet but I've had about 50/50 luck on that with OEM pads. If you want a real brake pad upgrade, I would recommend Shimano H03C brake pads. Those pads actually significantly improve performance unlike these. I would consider these OEM pads sufficient for some basic mild riding but if you like to push your bike to its limits and ride fast, you'll probably want some better stopping power. The main advantage of these pads is that they are cheap and last a while. Compared to the Shimano H03C pads, this two pack of OEM pads is about half the price for a pack of 2 pads so they win the cost comparison. These OEM pads also last pretty long since they are made from sintered metal instead of resin like the Shimano pads. But you are sacrificing good stopping power by using these pads so proceed at your own risk. As for price, I've seen much better deals on OEM Surron pads on Amazon before. As of the time of writing this review, these pads are not the best price you can get. But that being said, they do work and fit in the Surron quite well. Just like OEM. If you were happy with the stock pads, then you'll probably be happy with these. But if you're looking for a performance upgrade for your brakes, Shimano H03C pads are the way to go. ... show more
