  • Sticks well, no skin reactions, and lasts as long as you need it! Sticks well, no skin reactions, and lasts as long as you need it!
I requested this item since, well, I love tattoos and could always use more second skin! Some prefer the cling wrap method, or even using no protective covering at all... but I love the security that using second skin gives me. I know no bacteria is going to get in, no plasma is going to get out, and it doesn't rub against my fresh tattoo like cling wrap (or using nothing!) does when I sleep. That being said, I really liked this product! I did not use it on any fresh tattoos since I don't have any at this time, but I did test run it on one of my older tattoos. This second skin product is very easy to remove and apply, with convenient tabs for removing the backing and the top layer after application. The first picture of the applied product is the product when I first applied it to my skin, as well as the video shows how well it stuck to my skin and resisted pulling away from my skin while moving my leg. The second picture of my skin shows the same product 24 hours later. The edges were slightly peeled up, as expected, but the rest of it was sealed tightly on my skin. It actually took a good pull before it wanted to come off! While removing, the product also stayed together and did not tear as I was pulling it away from my skin, despite how hard I had to pull on it. I will definitely be getting more of this item once I'm in need of more, at under $4, it's practically a steal! ... show more

  • Did well with my aftercare
I picked this up after getting a new tattoo and was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. The material is thin and flexible, so it moved with my skin without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. It stayed in place through showers and everyday activities, and I didn't have any issues with water getting underneath it. The roll format was a big plus because I could cut exactly the size I needed instead of wasting material. The adhesive was strong enough to stay put but not so aggressive that it was painful to remove. It also breathed pretty well, and my tattoo didn't feel overly sweaty or irritated while wearing it. One thing I didn't love is that it can be a little tricky to apply the first time, especially on larger areas. If you're not careful, it's easy to get a wrinkle or accidentally have it stick to itself. The backing layers can also take a minute to figure out. Overall, though, it did exactly what I wanted it to do. It protected my tattoo during the early healing process, stayed on securely, and helped keep the area clean. I'd definitely use it again for future tattoos. ... show more

  • Flexible Tattoo Aftercare Bandage — Comfortable Protection and Easy Application Flexible Tattoo Aftercare Bandage — Comfortable Protection and Easy Application
This tattoo aftercare bandage provides a convenient way to help protect fresh tattoos during the initial healing process. The material is thin, flexible, and conforms well to the body's contours without feeling overly restrictive. The transparent design is a nice feature because it allows you to monitor the tattoo without removing the bandage. The grid backing also makes measuring and cutting custom sizes simple, helping reduce waste and making application easier. Adhesion is strong enough to stay in place during normal daily activities while still remaining comfortable on the skin. Once applied correctly to clean, dry skin, it creates a protective barrier against dirt, friction, and moisture exposure. The rolls provide plenty of material, making this a cost-effective option for larger tattoos or multiple applications. The material is easy to trim and handle without excessive curling or sticking to itself during installation. Overall, this tattoo aftercare bandage offers good adhesion, flexibility, and protection while remaining comfortable to wear. A practical addition to any tattoo aftercare routine. ... show more

  • Love the second skin bandage Love the second skin bandage
I love these second skin bandages for aftercare for my clients. The second skin bandage easily applies peel and stick to the skin over top of the tattoo, then peel the top layer off and make sure the second skin bandage is nice and smooth. I use to use plastic wrap back in the day and now completely use these for aftercare. They are clear in color so you can see the finished tattoo really well, they are waterproof so the client can get it wet like in the shower as needed. The bandage adhesive sticks well and holds even after getting wet. I like the second skin bandage its easy to cut and apply and can be cut to length and size of the tattoo. The roll comes in 6 inches wide x 2 yards which is a lot and you get two rolls. This is a good value for what you get. Overall this is a good value for the money. ... show more

  • Clear, Waterproof Dressing Material - 2 rolls Clear, Waterproof Dressing Material - 2 rolls
This clear dressing provides waterproof protection that is lightweight and comfortable, suitable for a new tattoo or a variety of other uses. It arrives as 2 rolls, each 6" wide. The white base layer is easy to peel to expose the adhesive surface. Once in place, the blue strips make it simple to remove the printed top layer. This dressing material is great for protecting an area of skin during a shower. Note that these are not advertised nor packaged as sterile, so if you are using this dressing to protect an open wound, it would make sense to place sterile dressing material against the wound surface, as shown in one of the product photos. This is a useful, reasonably priced, clear dressing material that is easy to apply and remove. It provides good protection to the skin without irritation. I'm glad to have this. ... show more

  • Good size for large areas; effective and comfortable adhesion Good size for large areas; effective and comfortable adhesion
This hits the mark when it comes to adhesion. It sticks well and stays put, but is not so sticky that it’s difficult or painful to remove. I also like that there’s no residue left behind on my skin after removing it. It comes in two large rolls that are six inches wide. It’s a good size for covering larger areas, but it can easily be cut down with scissors if you need a smaller size. The film is not difficult to remove from the backing. My only quibble is that each roll is not individually sealed. The set of two come sealed, but once opened, one of the rolls has to sit on the shelf without any protection. I put the unused portions in a zip-lock plastic bag, but it would have been nice if the rolls were individually sealed to keep them secure while awaiting use. A good performing adhesive wrap - 4.5 stars. ... show more

  • Good quality second skin
I got this in advance of getting my next tattoo and I wanted to give it a test run beforehand. I cut a small piece to give it a trial and I'm really pleased with this product. It goes on easily and smoothly. If you're not familiar with this type of bandage, it's clear so you can see your tattoo and also see how it's doing with drainage or anything like that. It can certainly be used for other kinds of wounds, as well. As a mom, this stuff comes in handy for when the kids get a cut that is too big for a band-aid. It's breathable and latex free, and I didn't have any irritation from it. It's waterproof and stays on well, even through a shower. You get two rolls and at the current price of $4, it's a great deal. ... show more

  • Easy to Cut and Apply, but the Hold Could Be Better Easy to Cut and Apply, but the Hold Could Be Better
This tattoo aftercare bandage came up as an Amazon Vine recommendation, and the timing was perfect because my son is getting a tattoo next week. I wanted to test it out ahead of time, so I applied a piece to my forearm. The dressing is very easy to cut and apply. It is flexible, super thin, and lightweight, so you really do not feel it once it is on. The main downside is that the hold is not great. Once you apply it, do not try to reposition it. If you lift it and try to place it again, it curls up and does not adhere the same way it did the first time. For the price, honestly, you are getting a bargain, even if the hold could be better. Overall, it is a useful and affordable option, but you need to apply it carefully the first time. ... show more
