I Purchase this item to heat the water in my air panics garden tower. It worked perfect for this application to keep the water warm in the early spring when the outside temperature was still cool. It made a huge difference in the water temp and was a game changer.

The immersion heater heated the water very quickly. When used with the extension cord it didn’t over heat. This will not boil anything as the ad notes since it auto turns off around 170 degrees Fahrenheit. A power indicator light would also be useful to indicate when it has turned off.

The heater arrived promptly. The heater in the church's baptistry had gone out and we needed to warm the water and at first the only solution we saw was heating water on the stove (a lot of trips). Ordered these and they arrived the next morning. We got the pair because we didn't know how efficient they would be. The baptistry was filled with water using a hose attached to the outside faucet and it was COLD. I ordered a pair, and one seemed to work OK, the other started tripping the GFCI after one night. I requested replacements and the next two did not do any better that the one. The one that worked started tripping after 5 days. I ordered a floating version to see if that works better.
