I bought these lights to work in a 30' Wide x 24' Deep x 12' High Steel Building Garage. I installed 3 fixtures in the upper ceiling with on/off switches so I could pick how many I wanted on. The SONAR function works flawlessly and does not false trigger inside the metal enclosure. They immediately turn on as soon as I begin to open & move the sliding door 1" (yes, inch!). They also turn off if there is no movement for 30 seconds and will relight when there is any movement while inside. The light leaves can be adjusted to fill the room with even light in this large room. I can work on my car or boat easily. I have been using these lights for 1 year and 3 months and they have worked great. This week, 1 light failed to operate and I spoke with customer service and they sent me a replacement right away and "No-Hassel". I just installed it and it is the one on the right and works fine now. I gave 5 Stars for Brightness, 5 Stars for Easy Installation & only 4 for longevity just because I had to replace 1. I am 100% satisfied with this product and customer professionalism and just bought my 3rd set of lights to install in another garage. I would recommend this product. Updated review: these are so incredibly aggravating. I wish I had never purchased these lights. They don’t come on when I need them and if, by some miracle they recognize me they turn off so quickly I’m back in the dark. The manufacturer stated that they are too close together in my garage and this is the correct behavior. I strongly do not recommend these. I purchased 4 boxes of these to use in my two car detached garage. The lights themselves are great - bright, easy to install and are easy to aim. The motion sensors are just ok. They don’t always detect motion so parts of the garage are dark. More annoying though is that they only stay on for about 15 seconds before shutting off. This makes it incredibly frustrating if you are trying to do anything in the space since the lights are turning off and then sometimes they don’t detect your motion to turn back on. Unfortunately the time is not adjustable so this is how they operate. ... show more

Product works as advertised. Good light output and being able to adjust the direction of light placement is great. Very sensitive to motion (too much!?) and always flips on no matter where I enter the garage at (deeper two bay detached garage). Time out sometimes happens when I am working on smaller projects where I might not be moving at all. I feel it could be a little longer but has really not been an issue. Replaced a couple 300 watt florescent bulbs. Biggest convenience is my garage doors are tied to the light switch and the bulb sockets have pull switches that I do not have to use now as I can leave the switch on. ... show more

There is no doubt the light assembly is bright. I purchased two of the assemblies to replace old LED's that were giving up the ghost. After reading numerous reviews and with a bit of trepidation I made the purchase. The items were received in a timely manner, after inspecting the package for obvious damage I opened the package. The items were adequately packed and packaged with no damage to the contents. The items appear ro be well made, simple to install. Just screw the unit into a lighting receptable the same as you would a light build, adjust the individual lighting elements for your desired needs. Turn on the power and you will be amazed. The lights brighten up the dark areas of my garage. Very pleased with the brightness! However there are issues. First off the light does not shut off as advertised. The manufacturer claims the unit will shut off after 30 seconds with no movement. In this case both units are still on after 30 minutes. Second I paid the additional cost for motion detection. The manufacturer claims 360 degrees of coverage. Again, in my case if the units stays on all the time there is no way to determine if the motion detection is operable or not, so the purpose of the motion detection is defeated. If you want simple lighting this is not the unit for you. You pay for something that is either inoperable or it was never installed in the unit. With this said I cannot recommend this unit. Really like the brightness of the light. I put these in both my 3-car garage and basement storage and the light is more than sufficient to light up the whole area. I like the motion function so they turn on when I walk into the room and I don't have to find the light switch. They can be sensitive to any motion. The basement storage one has is easily triggered by spider webs that may move. They are also temperature sensitive. Not as bright as I expected. Small unit. Got an email about the unit using micriowaves as the sensor and it penetrates walls, so it never turns off. Really do not want unshielded microwaves penetrating walls and bodies. Returning or junking. Message from seller tanbaby: Hi Dear, Thank you for your order, I want to let you know more about the motion sensing of garage lights. 1. Motion Sensor: It is designed for large garages and factories and has a very wide and EXTREMELY sensitive sensing range. It quickly responds to movement from people, cars, garage doors, etc., and is turned off in thirty seconds without any movement. 2. Due to the advanced microwave motion sensor, the garage light can sometimes detect motion through windows and may even detect your motion as you approach your door. This would cause the light to appear before you enter the room. 3. If your motion-sensing garage light does not automatically turn off when it works for a long time, please check whether there are other objects nearby making noise or other motion sensors working, and the motion sensors will affect each other. It is currently not possible to adjust the sensitivity of the radar sensor. But we will continue to improve our products, and your satisfaction is our continuous motivation. Instructions for using the radar sensor module: 1. When the radar microwave induction module is installed, the front of the induction antenna board faces the induction area, and the induction effect is the best; The radar microwave sensor module needs to be at a certain height from the ground, the sensing effect in an open environment will be better, and the front sensing distance is the farthest; 2. Radar microwaves have the ability to penetrate and may be induced across walls and ceilings (related to material thickness and density), but metal materials and other special shielding materials can shield microwave signals.     • A really Bright Light

After purchasing two of these lights for my double garage, I found them to be of very high quality and probably the brightest light I have ever installed. The only problem I had was that because they use the microwave radar sensor system, they cannot be installed less than 10 to 12 feet within each other or else they will keep coming on by themselves or not turning off. Unfortunately, because of the short distance between my ceiling outlets, They would just not work properly. I had to use a couple of non sensor LEDS. I must admit that I have never worked with a better customer service department than the Tanbaby people as they went out of their way to please me. They take customer service very serious.
