The brightness of these lights is great and the adjustability he has is great. However they have some major flaws that make them essentially useless. there's no way to change these lights to stay permanently on despite their being a description of an on/off switch and the items description. There is no on/off switch. Also these lights do not cumulatively update motion in other words when they see motion they stay on for 60 seconds and then they're going to go off. so even if you're constantly moving around they're going to flick on and off which is extremely annoying. Also the timer of 60 seconds is poorly designed. It needs to be at least 5 minutes. I'm going to return these because of the faulty description saying there is an on/off switch when in fact there is none. ... show more

If you turn on and off the switch these are on 3 times quickly, they blink then stay on forever. Great if you are not moving around much. Simply turn switch off and on again to return to motion sensing. Main reason i got these is i have 2 outlets, and couldn't have a bulb with a dusk to dawn feature, which all the standard motion sensing led bulbs seemed to have. I generally like these lights. They're bright and illuminate my garage very well. The downside is the motion detection seems to be inconsistent as is the amount of time they stay lit. Almost always, when I turn the knob to the garage it activates the lights before I can actually open the door. Then they might stay lit for 2 minutes or it might be 15 seconds. To turn back on I have to wave my arms multiple times before it picks up the motion to reactivate the sensor. I can be walking around and it might not pick up the motion. I wish they would consistently stay on for 2 minutes or better yet adjustable for 2, 5, or 10 minutes. I also wish they would consistently recognize motion to turn back on without flailing my arms. I don't think they're defective because I have two of them and they respond similarly. I will say it's nice to drive the car in and have a nice bright light to unload my car beyond what the garage door opener provides. ... show more

Our new house has only a couple screw in light fixtures in the garage, so before I get the time to have multiple fixtures installed, I grabbed one of these. Good lord. These things are ABSURDLY bright! Like, no normal LED, halogen, CFL or filament lightbulb on earth could come close to these things. Just one of them lights up my garage great, two makes it insanely bright. Absolutely love these things. They're going to let me put off extra lights in my garage for a while and spend on other things we want first. The only thing these can't do is provide multiple angles of light, so there are still shadows, but there's no way to avoid that. Can't speak to long term reliability, but if they die prematurely I will update this post. In the meantime, if you don't have a lot of fixtures, and need a lot of light, GET THESE. ... show more

Easy to install. Turn off the light switch. Remove old bulb or plug. Twist into socket. Turn on the light switch. Let there be light! These two led bulb panels light up a three car garage better than an older incandescent style and two t12 style flourescent bulbs. The panels can be folded up or down like wings and be repositioned to target the beam toward different areas. 360 degree beam coverage but you do notice a cutoff, and that is where the repositioning of the panels can be a benefit. The motion sensing is sensitive. I notice the light come on through the edges of the garage door, even before the garage door is opened. I wish the light stayed on for a little bit longer without having to retrigger it again with movement. If I am doing work in the garage and am stationary for a short while, I have to make a sudden movement to retrigger the light. There is an always on mode if you switch on and off three times, but there are scenarios when I expect to only be in the garage briefly and end up being in there longer than expected. So I have to walk back over to the switch to change the mode, or twitch/move every so often for the light to remain on. Overall, led light is very bright with good coverage and is very sensitive to motion sensing so it does what it is supposed to do, with some minor workarounds. ... show more

The motion sensor radar works great while in the garage. You would think that the direction just goes down and out, but it doesn’t. It goes up too. If you put the light under a living area (e.g., living room, diner, etc.) and you walk above the light it will set it off. You wouldn’t know it if you weren’t like me and had a camera system in your garage so you could see it for yourself. I went and got reflective tape, put it on a Styrofoam plate and put it above the light. Then I got reflective tape and put it above the light in a 4’ x 4’ square and it seems to work (most of the time). Another thing, it goes through walls too. I walk down my stairs and when I get halfway down it turns the light on. That doesn’t concern me because I’m going to my garage anyway. They need to block the radar from reading movement above it. It’ll save money in electricity and the lifespan of the light. ... show more
