I like this one with manual timer much better than those with auto sensor. The auto sensor if you have a dark rainy day they come on for 6 hours and then don't come back on that night. This one with a timer comes on when I set it to come on and off.

Up to 24 on/off events per day make this super flexible. Minimum time for each event is 30 minutes long, so 30 on or 30 off. Set with a simple flick of a plastic fin on the timer dial. Simple switch to manually force it on or off. My only negative is the supply cord could be a bit longer to make it easier to locate. I have horizontal outlet covers and the short cord made it tight after orienting it vertically. This MUST hang with the outlets facing down to keep water from getting inside it. I used a pop can in the photo to show how short the cord is. Other than that this thing worked just fine, even in below zero weather. ... show more

    • Exactly what I need for outdoor use
Heavy duty and water tight. Hook allows you to hang it and keep the rain from entering around the plugs. The timer is old style jumper pin and for this old guy a relief to have a technology I am familiar.
