  • Served a queen yellow jacket well...
Color: Yellow-2pack
The media could not be loaded. I had a queen yellow jacket in captivity for 2 1/2 months this past winter's end into early spring. I purchased two of these to place in the terrarium for water feeders, one with sugar. I like that they are easy to clean along with the user supplied mason jars and all the real estate they offer for the critters. I will now use these outdoors in way of the hummingbird feeders in an attempt to keep the ants from climbing and the bees from swarming around them. When the temperature was forecasted to remain above 55 degrees, I took the queen bee outside and popped the screened lid. It didn't register right away, but one peak over the rail at freedom and she took off like she was just passing by. I'll report back if I get attacked over the summer. Good product... happy with this purchase. ---- Update 09.16.25: With the cooler weather and less flowering plants, the bees are using these more now ( lol the video). If they had their way, I'd be filling this quart size mason jar twice a day. Yes, the feeders do fade but I'm not gigging it any stars because I haven't yet had a feeder of any kind that did not fade. Stick a pinwheel near it for some color and action if desired. The color may have faded, but the material has remained supple. The recommended sugar to water mix for bees is 2:1. It is also recommended that you boil the solution and allow it to cool. When they weren't so plenty, I would flush the feeder 1-2x a day to flood some fresh juice in the tray and after about 4-5 days just empty, clean and replenish. You really do need to keep these clean. Sugar water will ferment fast in the sun and bees are very sensitive. I think next year I will just use these early spring and late summer/autumn when the blooming flowers are not so bloomy in large part because sugar water does not give them the nutrients nectar provides. Granted, they need to consume a lot of nectar to get them, so I'm still on the fence if I should use them all summer. But regarding these feeders, I'm still happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Great for the naturalists among us
Color: Blue-2pack
This thing works perfectly! It's attractive and functional, and most importantly good for the bees and other flying insects we need to survive! It's well worth the price. Just ask the bees who benefit from it.

  • Feed the Bee’s! Works great.
Color: Blue-2pack
These feeders are Great! The design allows bees to reach the liquid from all angles, within one day I had swarms of Horney Bees feeding at along every edge of the feeder. I had so many Bees they would empty the quart jar in one day. Very nice that they came as 2 trays in the pack. They are easy to clean, flexible and fit as noted into a Mason jar (regular and wide mouth. Be sure to place them away from areas were people or children may play. ... show more

  • Feeds bees fast
Color: Blue-2pack
These things are freaking cool. Not one drowned bee or issue with setting it up, minus having to move bees out of the way to set it up. That’s minor enough. I’m using it in the top box. Another good method is taking wide mouth mason jars with lids, poking 1mm holes in the top, and flipping them over the separator to the top box. The thing I like about this feeder is bees can eat from it faster. If I plan on feeding multiple quarts in a day, I can depend on this distributing the sugar water faster. ... show more

  • Not one bee or wasp landed to eat or drink
Color: Blue-2pack
These are a great concept, but they did not work for me. I put sugar water in one and plain water in the other. Placed them in a location where bee and wasp traffic is high, and not one bee or wasp landed to check either one of them out. Maybe the yellow ones do better than the blue ones? They sure are attracted to the yellow centers of the hummingbird feeders. I was hoping to draw them away from the hummingbird feeders, but I think I’d have better luck just putting out more feeders. I was really excited, but overall was a big let down. One of them also had a poor seal when I flipped it over and no matter how hard I pushed down on the jar to try to secure a good seal, it just wanted to keep sleeping the liquid out. I think I’ll turn to YouTube for a homemade solution to feeding the bees. Surely there’ll be some good DIY ideas there. ... show more

  • Awesome bee feeding/ watering mat
Color: Yellow-2pack
Purchased these as a gift for a family member that has been a bee keeper for years. They are made of durable silicone material. A wide mouth or standard mason jar/ canning jar will fit in the center. It has small opens equally spaced around the center where the jar is inserted this allows the liquid inside your jar to drip out by gravity to feed or water your bees. The outer area around where the jar goes has raised areas that help keep bees from drowning when they land on the mat. Genius idea!!! Silicone is heat and cold tolerant. Can't wait to put these to use for our pollinators!! ... show more

  • Fades and bends in uneven surfaces
Color: Yellow-2pack
Unfortunately, the color fades quickly in the sun. I like silicone because it is nontoxic but it didn’ doesn’t work well on uneven surfaces like the dirt which may inhibit the distribution of water. Would be nice if it had a firm plastic base below. Lastly, it’s expensive for not coming with any mason jars. ... show more
