I've received more than a few poorly packaged items in the mail. I'm happy to say this isn't one of them! These lights came in a sturdy cardboard box with foam inserts. There's also a piece of foam on top of each light to protect it from scratches from the wires and cables. No dents or dings, even though they were shipped in their box (no outside container). The lights are actually metal, not just plastic. Hooray! We're installing these lights this afternoon. It looks like it will be an easy swap to change out with the current light. There are several very similar looking products here on Amazon. These lights have a smooth finish. There are some others that have a lightly textured finish. If you're looking to match lights you already have, make sure you want these with the smooth finish if that's the look you're going for. ... show more

My dated kitchen light fixtures were in need of an upgrade. These fit our rustic farmhouse vibe and our budget. All of the necessary hardware is included, you just provide bulbs and a screwdriver. The directions are easy to follow, and installation was quick and painless. Fixture is lightweight but very durable. Low profile (4") is great if you have lower ceilings and tall family members. I used bright white LED bulbs that I already had on hand, but I may swap them for something warmer. The individual sockets can pivot up and down to redirect light. These have a simple but elegant design. Their low profile is perfect for my oddly short and narrow hallway. I put some thin smoked LED 2700k lights in and it made them feel very modern, almost gothic. Easy installation too, all parts included, even the wire nuts.
