My mower did not have a cleaning port on the deck. This one installed easily, just drilled a 3/4” hole and mount it with the hardware included. While there was some grass left behind, it cleaned 90% of it away. Much easier than scraping after each use.

bought this for my father-in-law's mower. He uses a 72" mower. After reading about these, I figured I would need to install two of them. However, I placed one as far away from the chute as I could and it cleaned very well. Absolutely no reason for two. Works very well!

Just what was needed to easily clean out the grass and debris from underneath of the deck on my mower. The metal unit itself feels well built for the price and installation was very easy given I had a hole pre drilled in my 2006 troy bilt super bronco. I wish I had put this on years ago. Just connect your garden hose after it's installed and run the mower for a few minutes and you'll be amazed at how much comes out from underneath.

I trued to find out the size hole needed on the mower before buying this ser to see if i had the right drill bit as the larger drill bits are expensive. Nobody here that had boughr one knew, interesting. It turns out that the exact diameter of the hole needed is 11/16 of an inch. Luckily i had one laying around and was able to install it. The nut is big and you will need a 15/16 " deeo socket or a box wrench ro fasten the fitting on the deck from the bottom. With tools in hand it took me 15 minutes to drill the hole and install the fitting. I tested it and it worked fine. Just check that the blades are at least 1 inch away from the top of the deck so as to not hit the firting. The fitting protrudes 3/4 " below the tip of the deck.
