I bought this collar for my 65 lb pittie. I previously had just a cheap 1” wide collar and was looking for a thicker one that would not dig into his neck so much when grabbed (I don’t grab it often but he seems to have a sensitive trachea because when I did grab it he’d cough). Plus I wanted a more tactical look. I think it suits him ;). I’d say this collar accomplishes both. It is super sturdy and I don't worry at all about the buckle coming apart. The paint on the metal leash attachment point is starting to chip after about a week though. I also saw in other reviews that’s a failure point of the collar but I walk my dog with a harness so I haven’t really tested that. I put his ID tags on it and I think that’s when it chipped. Also, it’s thicker than anticipated so that could be a good or bad thing. My dog did need to adjust to it a little bit since he was going from a small flimsy collar to a thick, wide one, but he did get used to it after a few days. Overall I’m happy with it, especially for the reasonable price compared to other “tactical” collars. It is exactly as advertised and I’d say most other reviews I’ve seen for it are pretty accurate. This is the perfect collar for my rowdy 110 pound great Dane puppy. It has a very large range of sizes that you can make by simply adjusting at the buckles. That has been very helpful as she grows! The handle on it is very helpful especially for a tall dog that happens to be at the perfect height to make that handle very useful. The metal buckles are a must, I just would not have confidence in a plastic buckle with a dog this big and strong. I will be buying another one of these in a different color, but only because I get bored of the same color after a few months. Honestly I don’t know if I would ever HAVE to replace this, it is so sturdy and well-made. But my baby girl needs a wardrobe of colors, so I will be buying more. ... show more

Decent, look very nice quality and seem like they might be durable. The reflectiveness is pretty underwelming which was one of the reasons I bought these. Can't see my dog's collar from 10 feet with my cell phone light. Was hoping for much more reflection from a 2 inch wide collar with reflective stitching. We have 5 Belgian Malinois and they play hard. These collars have held up very well and are perfect for 2” Velcro name patches. A word of caution, I bought a discontinued one that said it might have some dog hair on it but was virtually new. It had A LOT of fine hair on it that I couldn’t get out. Unfortunately the other dog took a liking to it and tore it off the dog that was wearing it. I had to return it and get a new one that was not covered in hair. I got this for my Aussie (60lbs) who is reactive and the product worked great for the first little while then one day I was coming home from a walk and the neighbors dog was out (who is also reactive and not on a leash) and came up to us barking and I grabbed the handle on the collar to get a better hold of my dog and the collar came of (like the buckle and velcro failed) and my dog and the neighbors dog got into a fight they both drew blood but everyone is fine I have never used the collar after that I just can’t trust it. Love this collar. My dog has always had the issue of breaking her plastic buckle collars from the pet store that would run me around $30 for some crappy made fabric collar with a plastic buckle on it. Anyway. This collar is perfect for her, she is my service dog and needs something that will hold up and will be comfortable while being used daily. She loves it to the point that she got mad at me for taking it off of her to clean it and wanted it back to the point of jumping on me while I was cleaning it. She also rolls around in the grass in my back yard which would normally be the downfall for all her previous collars but this one held up amazingly and with all the padding is super comfortable for her to sleep in (since she doesnt let me remove it and will start to whine if I do) Bottom line, if I need another collar in the future for another dog I will for sure be saving this one for the books. Great value, great fitment, amazing comfort, looks amazing, and love the American flag patch that comes with it. If there is anything I would recommend to the manufacturer is that they give an option for a little extra $ to have a name patch made to fit next to the flag on the velcro of the collar. ... show more
