  • Works Great
This laptop is a definite good buy. The kickstand works like the Surface kickstand and the keyboard types well. Memory is good with the 16gb and touchscreen is responsive. I really like this laptop.

  • Good tablet/laptop but the N95 is an odd choice
My first impressions of this laptop/tablet is that it's trying to be a Surface competitor. It seems to sit somewhere between the Go and the full Surface line with it's choice of the N95 CPU. The laptop comes comes boxed with a charger, stylus (one of the cheap rubber tip kind), a wireless mouse, and the detachable keyboard. On removing it from the box I noticed it feels quite heavy. It weighs in at 3.4 lbs with keyboard. For reference, my Asus M16 gaming laptop weights 4.3lbs, so it is lighter, but heavier than I would expect for a tablet form factor. It starts up quickly and I was in windows within a few seconds. After a few updates and tweaking the display settings (it was set to 150%) I was up and running. The N95 is an odd choice here. More powerful than the Celeron but less powerful than the i5. The N95 and N100 are good budget CPUs and I've seem them mostly in mini PCs and offer some decent performance for the low price points. I don't know where they got their infographic from, but there is no world where an N95 beats out the N100 in performance, and especially in gaming. The N95 works just great for productivity and some light gaming. If you're playing older games, emulators, or even newer games in lower settings, it will do fine. But the cost of going for an N100 instead would have been marginal at most, and would have provided much better gaming performance. As for the rest of the laptop, the body feels solid (and heavy). The kickstand has fluid motion and stays in place when you set it, but doesnt click into place like the Surface does. The I/O is pretty good with 2 USB C and 2 USB A 3.0 ports, 3.5 headphone jack, microSD card, and a mini HDMI port. It has 16gb of memory which is good. The 512gb drive was partitioned in 2 for some reason, but it was easy enough to delete the large partition and expand the OS partition to make it 1. The listing graphic shows a Samsung SSD but the device manager lists it as a Shinji SSD. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was artistic license by the graphic designer making the graphic w/ an SSD image he found online and not deliberately trying to lie to anyone. The screen is bright and responsive to touch, but is only SDR 8 bit at 60hz. It comes preloaded with Office already activated as well as VLC Player and Chrome, and no other bloatware that I can tell. I'll still end up reimaging it with a fresh copy of Win 11 though. The stylus is junk. The mouse is OK but not really needed since the keyboard has a touchpad built in. The keyboard functions and feels like a Surface keyboard except for 1 thing. When you fold it up it will put the laptop into sleep mode and wake when you open it, but when folded back it wont disable itself so you still get key presses if you hit the keys while holding it, which is quite annoying. The battery life is decent to good. At 100% it estimated almost 4 hours. In my testing I got about 1 hour out of about 30% with light usage (win updates, web browsing). I'm sure it will be less with heavier usage/gaming, but still pretty good. My final thoughts on this laptop is that, while it is a good laptop, it wouldn't have taken much to make it better. At it's selling point, or even for less, you can easily find other tablets or laptops that offer the N100 instead of the N95 for better performance. The HDD and memory are fine, but if you are marketing your laptop as a "gaming" laptop they should be better than fine. UPDATE: Shortly after writing my review the machine started telling me that my copy of Windows could not be activated due to it being activated on another machine. I emailed support about this but so far have got no response. I tried resetting the PC through Windows. Not only did this not fix the activation issue, it also wiped Office from the machine. I'm dropping another star off the review due to suspicious licenses. Might be a good candidate for a Linux OS. UPDATE 2: Shortly after my review posted I was able to get in contact with support. It took a few tries but they were able to get me a working key for Windows and to reactivate office. During my earlier attempts to reimage the tablet I corrupted some drivers, but they were able to get me the driver package I needed to get back up and running. I will say that not having a website or even a github page you can go to to get the needed drivers is a bit worrisome, but their email support is at least responsive and accommodating. I recommend making a backup of your drivers or even a system image just in case you find yourself in my same situation. Good: - Decent specs for productivity and light gaming - Compact form factor - Good battery life - Includes Office preactivated - Responsive support over email Bad - Doesn't seem to have a legit license for Office or Windows - Heavy for it's size - Sub par components will bottleneck the performance - You can find machines with better specs for the same price or even less - No support website or repository for drivers. All done through email support. ... show more
