Assembly is easy, and it has stayed together well for a few weeks at this point. We got this as it is similar to the platforms our trainer used for our puppy taining. It helps designate a "place" for the dog to stay (given elevation and clear boundary), and we liked that it came with the cover in case we want to move it outside. Aside from attaching the cover once to make sure it fit, we have yet to use this feature. Our pup is 11 pounds (full grown), and it is a snug fit. We've continued to use as it fulfills the purpose, but it's not the most comfortable space (he certainly never chooses to sit here compared to fluffy dog bed). For keeping cooler in summer, and as a designated space to stay I think this is a great solution, assuming your pet is the right size.

I'm always out in the yard working as much as I can as it's therapeutic. My two small fur-babies always want to be out with me but we're in the summer months and it's been 80-90s and very humid. I don't like them being out for too long in the heat. I thought, maybe they would lay in this so they could have shade and stay out a little longer. BUT, WILL THEY USE IT? I brought it outside, and put them in it. Of course they immediately wanted out. So I repetitively kept putting them in while giving them rubs and comfort. They wanted to lay on the grass and I didn't want to keep reinforcing them to go in it. I have to set a 15-20min timer to remind me to being them inside because time passes by quickly when I'm in my yard work zone. When the timer was up, I noticed BOTH of them were inside of it and both of them weren't panting like they normally are after 10 min. Now, they get to hang and chill outside with mommy longer as long as their in this getting shade. I also put a fan infront to give them extra breeze. With the fan on blast, they both take naps while keeping cool in this shade plus they're not laying on the grass. I do like this shade tent but I'm deducting a star because the photos of the tent top are a little misleading. The photos in the listing appear to be a nice tight fit but the actual tent top isn't the best quality and looks loose and sloppy but do my fur-babies care about aesthetics? Assembly was mediocre, although it was easy once you got going; the instructions weren't the best especially for people like elderly that may find it frustrating. Aside from the few things I dislike, I am happy with this shade tent.

My dad and his dog moved in with us last year and this little guy cannot be left to run around the house when we are gone. Unfortunately leaving him alone in my dad's room means he tears up his bed. We hoped this would help and it seems to be! My dad was opposed to a crate, but this little house seems to create the den environment that dogs need to have a home. Especially since he lost his original home it seems to be helping. It was easy to build and is so cute! I kinda want to get our dogs one but they are so used to their playpen I doubt they would use it. Great quality and it's a good size for my dad's room.

Definitely for a small dog like a yorkie, a chihuahua or two. The instructions could have been a bit better with instructions that the openings on the base connectors face upwards. Also a hint on how to connect the last two sets of rods. You have to put both sides slowly in at the same time and twice back into place. The fabric for the base is made out of backpack type canvas and seems well stitched and sturdy. The tent fabric is thin and you can see light through the stitch holes. the the stitch holes. All of it should be easily cleanable with soap and water.

The instructions could be better, but if you've ever put an elevated dog bed together, it's the same as any other. (Tip: Make sure the "holes" on the corner brackets are facing up though, as the "tent poles" go into those holes.) Although the instructions were lacking, if you've put a tent together, you'll figure it out pretty easily... shaping the poles like a "house". The only thing I didn't understand, was what to do with the extra elastic (that hangs under the bed, from the tent poles). So what I did was pull them taught across the bottom (and over the elastic from the tent material), and tie them together underneath the bed, and that seemed to work... and stiffened it up and also holds the tent material in place better I think. The "tent" fabric is on the thin side... think of parachute material or a wind breaker. But that also makes it "breathable" and not too hot. I'm really happy with this bed/house, and my dog likes cuddling up in it... like a cocoon. I did put his favorite doggy blanket in it... and he is as snug as a bug... err dog... in a rug.

This raised pet bed is perfect for small pets. I ordered it for the puppies but the cats like it to. It was easy to assemble and the cover is secured to the bottom making it sturdy. It is lightweight and easy to move.
