893LM matched the current opener that we have and we're in need of a second one. I saw this being two as a good deal. It is crucial that after you locate the pairing button on your motor not to initiate it. You are simply locating it first. Ours was a yellow button. You then use the remote and follow the instructions exactly. Again while working with the remote you have not pressed the pairing button on your motor. After a few attempts I was successful by following the instructions that came with the remotes. Hours did not click twice but the light on the motor that illuminates the garage blast on and off so I consider that as a done deal and it worked . They already had batteries which would have been great to know up front as I was looking for a place to put batteries. I guess that will come at a later time. The clips come detached already so that you can push the pairing button on the remote or program button on the remote. You then add the clips once the remotes are paired. I could not get either clip to go on to either remote. Even as tech savvy as I am, I tried everything. If anyone can show how the clips are added which is seemingly an easy process, I would like to know. A four-star only because of the directions being a little misleading but great all in all and neither of the clips fitting or being able to be placed on the remotes. A great buy and a great value. We have a LiftMaster but seemingly these are Universal for other brands.

So, we needed a compatible garage door opener when we rented our latest apartment. The landlord only gave us the one remote for the car. I wanted to use the garage for ingress when using the bicycle or taking a walk. This remote was exactly like the one he gave us when we moved in. I bought a two-pack so my wife would have an extra. They arrived sooner than promised. Setting up the new remotes took less than ten minutes— not including the time it took to find my most powerful reading glasses necessary to squint-read the tiny print on the instruction sheet. Do they work? Boy-howdy, do they work! They open the garage door to our rural apartment from at least ⅛ mile away which is how long our driveway is. Now, there are no obstructions along the way, but I was astonished to see our garage door open when I arrived after pressing the button when I first entered the driveway. In fact, I had to close the door, then go back to the end of the driveway and open it again to see if I wasn't mistaken. Even from within the car, it opens it from that far away. Maybe it is because the batteries are fresh in the remotes I got. Whatever. I'm just enjoying having that much control.

Unit comes with documentation for a different remote, three button as opposed to one. The instructions are not the same. When queried about the discrepancy, the seller directed me to a video from Liftmaster. However, their remote is also somewhat different. After some experimentation, I was able to program it and it works fine and costs much less than the OEM.

Works out of the box, no additional batteries needed. Very easy to set up - all you need to do is press the button on your garage door opener and then the desired button on the remote. It does require a slightly longer press than the official liftmaster remote but haven't had any issues so far.

I was initially worried about other reviewers who had issues with the plastic case melting in the sun or stop working entirely. I’ve had this for about 3 months without a single issue and don’t see how I would start to experience any issues. If it lasts a few years this was a great purchase. It has good range and works every time.
